Last week, Bollywood Hungama reported that there could be a change in the release date of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. The makers of the Ranbir Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor starrer were contemplating releasing the film on Tuesday, March 7, instead of Wednesday, March 8. The thought emerged as the makers thought that it’ll be wise to take advantage of the Holi holiday in several states on March 7. However, we have not learnt that the prepone plans have been dropped. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “There is no change in the plan. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar will release on March 8, as originally scheduled.” The source further said, “A lot of last-minute prep is going on with the film and the makers feared that releasing a day earlier might add a lot of stress to the already overworked team. Moreover, even internationally, the plan was locked for March 8. Hence, a decision was taken to release Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar on March 8.” The source added, “The makers are confident of a healthy opening, though it’ll be a working day in several states on March 8. But thanks to considerable hype and youthful appeal, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar can score on the partial holiday on Wednesday. And let’s not forget that Women’s Day also falls on March 8 and that can further boost the footfalls.” A trade expert quipped, “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar will enjoy a five-day weekend and then there’s limited competition till the release of Ajay Devgn’s Bholaa. If the film clicks with the audience, it’ll be the second hit of 2023 after Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.” Besides Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar also stars Dimple Kapadia and Anubhav Singh Bassi. Producer Boney Kapoor makes his full-fledged acting debut with this rom-com. It is directed by Luv Ranjan, of Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011) and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018) fame. Recent reports have been doing the rounds that reality show star Zeeshan Khan will soon be making his Bollywood debut. While the actor was seen in a unique negative role in the popular fantasy drama Naagin, now we hear that Khan has bagged another interesting supernatural television show.  It seems that Khan has kicked off a new project but faced a minor setback as he got admitted to the hospital while shooting for his show titled Baagin. Zeeshan Khan will be playing a negative lead in the show Baagin and is currently shooting for the same in Rajpipla, Gujarat. A source revealed that the actor fell ill on the sets of the television serial adding, “ Recently, an unfortunate incident took place. While shooting for Baagin, Zeeshan started feeling uneasy and complained of stomach ache. He was later rushed to the hospital as the ache became severe. The doctors ran some regular tests and confirmed that it was food poisoning. Post the tests, the actor was kept under observation for a while. However, the doctors have confirmed that he is stable now. In fact, Zeeshan has resumed work and has also returned to the sets.” For the unversed, Zeeshan Khan was previously seen in Bigg Boss and he has also been a part of a reality show Lock Upp on ALT Balaji. Samantha Ruth Prabhu is going through a lot these days, right from her upcoming projects to her health. For those not in the know, the actress revealed at the end of last year about her struggle while dealing with Myositis. If this wasn’t enough, she just went through some more pain. Samantha recently got bruised on the sets of her upcoming project Citadel. Her character in the Amazon Prime Video show requires her to perform a lot of action and stunt sequences. While shooting one such scene today, Samantha got bruised on her hands. She shared a picture of her condition on her Instagram story and wrote, “Perks of action.” Citadel is the Indian version of Russo Brothers’ international action show of the same name and on the same platform. It will see Samantha teaming up with Varun Dhawan in the latter’s first web series. The Indian version is helmed by Raj and DK, who have previously worked with Samantha in the second season of their celebrated show The Family Man. The director duo are currently enjoying the rave reviews for their latest web show Farzi, which stars Shahid Kapoor, Kay Kay Menon, Vijay Sethupathi, Raashii Khanna and Amol Palekar. The international version of Citadel stars Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra and Stanley Tucci. The first glimpse of the show was out just yesterday. Sony LIV has announced an adaptation of the renowned detective fiction mystery novel "The Sittaford Mystery," written by legendary British novelist and queen of the crime genre, Agatha Christie. Titled Charlie Chopra & The Mystery Of Solang Valley, the original is helmed by Bhardwaj’s home banner – Vishal Bhardwaj Pictures along with Priti Shahani’s Tusk Tale Films in association with Agatha Christie Limited. Set in the snow-capped mountains of Himachal Pradesh, the series will follow the journey of Charlie Chopra and her quest to uncover a deep mystery. Besides donning the hats of director and co-producer, Vishal Bhardwaj also serves as the show's co-screenwriter, alongside Anjum Rajabali and Jyotsna Hariharan. Filmmaker Karan Johar is back to work. The director will begin the last schedule of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. He is set to shoot a massive song with Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh and has hinted that he is paying homage to his favourite filmmaker of all time. Sharing a video of his team on a flight flying to an unknown location, Karan Johar wrote on Instagram, “Shooting the last schedule of our film #rockyaurranikipremkahani…a film i have directed after 7 years…shooting a song which is a homage to my favourite filmmaker of all times… won’t say any more…” Over a month ago, Bollywood Hungama had reported that Karan Johar will shoot the song as a tribute to his mentor Yash Chopra. For the romantic track, Rishi Kapoor and Sridevi in Chandni are the reference points. In 2021, Bollywood Hungama was the first to reveal the title and cast of the upcoming family-centric movie. Starring Gully Boy pair Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead, the film's cast also includes Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles. Jaya, who has worked with Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Kal Ho Na Ho, plays Ranveer's grandmother whereas Dharmendra and Shabana play Alia's grandparents. Earlier this week, yet another film of Akshay Kumar hit the theatres. Selfiee, co-starring Emraan Hashmi, is an action comedy that is a remake of the Malayalam film Driving License. While the trailer and the remake of the song, ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’ from the film was quite well-received, the film failed to make a mark among the audiences. In a recent interview, the actor, who insisted on giving up his Canadian citizenship for Indian citizenship, also opened up about his recent failures at the box office. The superstar also requested everyone to not blame the audience, further taking up the blame on himself about his films not working. In his interview with Aaj Tak, Akshay Kumar opened up about the performance of his recent theatrical releases, and said, "It is a great alarm, aapki film nahi chal rahi to galti aapki hai (If your films are not working, it is your fault). When your films flop in a row, it is an alarm for you that it is time for you to change. Mai koshish kar raha hun, wahi kar sakta hoon (I am trying to change, that is all I can do).” He continued, “Do not blame the audience or anyone else. It is my fault, 100%. Aapki film na chalna is not because of audience. It is because of what you selected. Maybe you have not given the right ingredients in the film.” Furthermore, the actor also opened up about experiencing a much worse fate in terms of films in the past, wherein he had given 16 consecutive flops. "This is not happening with me for the first time. There was a time when I had eight films in a row that did not work. Now, I have had three-four films in a row that did not work. The thing is that it happens due to your own fault, film ka na chalna (a film not working). The audience has changed, you need to change, you need to dismantle yourself,” he maintained. Rajkumar Hirani is arguably the biggest director of Bollywood right now. He has delivered five films till now, all of which have been huge successes and have tremendous recall value. As a result, the expectations are tremendous from his upcoming film, Dunki. The release of the Salman Khan-starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is nearly two months away but the promotions have already begun. Just before Valentine's Day, the first song of the film 'Naiyo Lagda' was released. Although it was ridiculed by some sections, the song grew with each passing day. In less than 2 weeks, it has amassed 60 million views and the viewership is steadily increasing. And now, it has come to light that the second song of this much-awaited film will be out very soon. Bollywood Hungama has learnt that the second track is titled ‘Billi Billi’. The song is expected to be a fun, catchy number and it will be released to the public on Thursday, March 2. Interestingly, the makers have embarked upon an interesting promotional strategy before the release of ‘Billi Billi’. They sent cat masks to several journalists today and informed them through a letter that a similar mask has been used in the song as well. The media persons have been encouraged to don the mask and create interesting and creative reels. They have been requested to participate in this unique activity which will commence on Monday, February 27. ‘Billi Billi’ will be launched nearly 50 days before the release of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. The much-awaited romcom, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, is less than two weeks away from its release and there's considerable excitement among the audiences. But the producers are toying with the idea of preponing it and releasing it a day earlier, on Tuesday, March 7.” The source continued, "The second day of Holi falls on March 7. There has been confusion over this aspect. In many places, the Holi holiday will be on March 7. To take advantage of it, the makers felt that it was wise to come on March 7 since that's when it'll get maximum footfalls." The source, however, also added, “A decision will be taken in a few days. If Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar gets ready in time, it’ll be out on Tuesday, March 7. Or else, it’ll arrive in cinemas on March 8, as scheduled.” If Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar releases on March 7, it will enjoy an extended six-day weekend, which is very unusual as filmmakers prefer releasing the day on Thursday or at the most on Wednesday, if not on Friday, to take advantage of a festive holiday. The past week has been dominated by Hera Pheri. It all began with the report that the much-awaited comedy sequel has gone on floors on February 21. The report also stated that Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal will be reprising their characters. Later, it came to light that Farhad Samji will be directing the film and that the team shot for a promo. The next day, Bollywood Hungama broke the news that the third part will not be called Hera Pheri 3. Instead, it has been titled Hera Pheri 4. And now, we bring to you another exciting update. Yesterday, it was reported that Sanjay Dutt has been cast in Hera Pheri 4. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Sanjay Dutt has indeed signed the film. It is said that he’ll be playing one of the antagonists in the film. His character is blind and is quite quirky. He’s expected to add to the madness quotient of the Hera Pheri series.” The source further said, “Sanjay Dutt is superb in comedy roles and the makers felt he’ll be right for this role. Moreover, his casting will add to the brand value. He’s an exciting addition to the Hera Pheri universe and it’ll be interesting for the audiences to see him locking horns with Raju (Akshay Kumar), Shyam (Suniel Shetty) and Baburao Ganpatrao Apte (Paresh Rawal). There are also reports that Arshad Warsi has been signed in Hera Pheri 4 but our source couldn’t confirm this development. Wasn’t hit maker Anees Bazmee almost inked for directing the third part of producer Firoz Nadiadwala’s Hera Pheri franchise? Now we hear Farhad Samji is doing the film. Anees is suddenly out. What happened? I reached out to Anees, and he didn’t beat around the bush. “I met the producer Firoz Nadiadwala several times. He didn’t have much of a story let alone a script. Unhone jo mujhe idea bataya woh kuch jammee bahin (the idea he threw at me didn’t jell with me). Maina na keh diya (I said no),” admits Anees. The formula for a successful film is simple for Anees. “No script no hit. It’s as simple as that. Which is why I am taking so much time over my next screenplay, which will star Shahid Kapoor. I am going to finish writing it by the end of this month. Then there will be an announcement.” Coming back to the third part of Hera Pheri (which will be titled Hera Pheri 4) Anees says, “After I declined the offer, I now hear the film is going to be directed by someone else (Farhad Samji). Akshay Kumar who was totally opposed to doing the film without a proper script has apparently agreed to come on board. I don’t know how or why. Only he will be able to tell. Speaking for myself, I am not part of that project anymore.” Was the fact that Firoz Nadiadwala still owed Anees money for the last film that they did together, also a reason for Anees opting out? “Yes, that too. The news about the third film in the Hera Pheri franchise was out two days back on February 22. A leaked photo of the famous trio from the series – Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal – along with the team were spotted shooting a promo for the movie in a studio in Mumbai. Interestingly, despite it being the third film in the franchise, it is titled Hera Pheri 4. There is a lot of curiosity among the fans to know what the next instalment of the series has in store. It is now learnt that this time, the Hera Pheri trio of Raju, Shyam and Babu bhaiya, played by Akshay, Shetty and Rawal, would travel internationally. Rawal revealed this in a conversation with Mid-Day along with the shooting schedule of the film. “We’ll begin shooting in three months,” he told the publication. “It will be a (long) schedule in Mumbai. The movie will also be shot in international locations like Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Los Angeles, as Babu bhaiya, Raju and Shyam go abroad. They’ll do hera pheri globally.” Rawal was happy to meet his co-stars for the promo shoot recently. “Meeting them felt like ghar wapsi. It’s always a joy shooting with Akshay and Suniel. They are talented actors who are not insecure about their work. We have mutual respect. Our off-screen camaraderie reflects in our on-screen chemistry,” he further told the publication. Earlier, there were reports about Kartik Aaryan replacing Akshay in the third part of Hera Pheri. Reacting on this, Rawal revealed, “As far as I know, initially, both Kartik and Akshay were to do the film, but it didn’t work out. I don’t know what happened.” The first film in the series, titled Hera Pheri, had released in 2000 and it became a cult classic. It was directed by Priyadarshan. But Neeraj Vora took onto the director’s chair for Phir Hera Pheri, which released in 2006. Hera Pheri 4 will be helmed by Farhad Samji. Ayushmann Khurrana has carved a niche for himself in mainstream Hindi cinema with his unusually funny and quirky dramas over the years, including his spectacular debut in the form of Shoojit Sircar’s Vicky Donor in 2012. Readers may be aware that for the past few days, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is in news after his ‘former’ wife Aaliya Siddiqui threw major allegations against his family, including that of house arrest and as well as forcing her and their children to only use selected facilities within their residence. Along with her complaint, she had also alleged that Siddiqui and his family are harassing her for dowry and had moved the court regarding the same. However, as per recent reports, the Mumbai court has dismissed her pleas after their divorce documents were presented. In recent reports, lawyers Adnan Shaikh and Drishti Khurana had alleged that the couple are not married anymore. Presenting evidence to support their argument, the lawyers clarified in their statement that they produced divorce documents of Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Aaliya Siddiqui aka Zainab. Following this, the court dismissed two pleas. In their statement, the lawyers also alleged how the marriage documents were presented to the court but their divorce documents were concealed. Talking about Aaliya Siddiqui, after she claimed that she and her kids were being tortured by Nawaz’s parents in their house, she had taken to social media to post videos of how there were security guards in her residence. In the video, Aaliya aka Zainab had shared how these guards refused her access to basic places like bathroom and toilet as she and her kids, were allegedly, allowed to use only the living room. As for the case, Aaliya had registered the case at Versova police station against Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his family by filing an FIR against them under sections 498A, 509, and others of IPC on the grounds of dowry harassment and protection of women’s rights. Tiger Shroff keenly-awaited next titled Ganapath - Part 1 was earlier supposed to release during 2022 Christmas but it couldn’t as the makers decided to avert a clash with Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus. The makers have now decided to release the film on October 20 this year during the festival of Dussehra. Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan starts shooting for his debut film being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, later this week. He leaves for Kullu-Manali today, February 20, where director Kayoze Irani is already stationed with the crew preparing for the lengthy schedule. In the film, Ibrahim plays a soldier. He has been preparing for the role for the past six months. A source very close to the project informs, “Ibrahim is far more committed to his project than his father Saif was at the beginning of his career. Ibrahim has been in preparation for the longest time. He has been on a strict diet regime and physical training for months now. As he leaves for the shooting he is fully equipped to handle his complex role.” The film is directed by Boman Irani’s talented son Kayoze Irani who has been closely associated with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions ever since he played a small role in Student Of The Year in 2016. Kayoze also directed the segment entitled Ankahee in Dharma Productions’ omnibus Ankahee Dastaan. Ibrahim assisted Karan Johar on Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani. Rupali Ganguly has been riding high on the success of her Star Plus show Anupamaa. The serial and her titular character have enjoyed a good number of fan following ever since it debuted on the small screen in July 2020. Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan is an all-time blockbuster and now, he has already moved on to completing his other two films, Jawan and Dunki. Jawan will be his next release and there’s already considerable hype for it, especially after its massy first look teaser was released last year. Moreover, it’s directed by South director Atlee, who knows the pulse of the audience. And with Pathaan becoming a Rs. 500 crores grosser, the excitement for Jawan has gone many notches higher. Interestingly, there’s no clarity yet on who’ll be distributing and releasing Jawan. While Bollywood Hungama was enquiring about it, we stumbled upon an interesting piece of information. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Almost six months ago, Zee Studios was in talks with Shah Rukh Khan’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment, also the producers of Jawan, to come on board as the studio partner. But Zee had to decline as the acquisition cost went above Rs. 300 crores, to around Rs. 350 crores.” The source continued, “These talks took place nearly six months ago. This was a time when films were flopping left, right and centre. Also, Pathaan had not released yet and had wowed the industry and trade with its achievement of collecting Rs. 70 crores in a day and a lot more. Hence, Zee probably decided to back out as they felt that it might be financially unviable.” The source, however, has no update about the present-day scenario and whether Zee Studios has once again shown interest or some other studio has commenced discussions with Jawan’s makers. Besides Shah Rukh Khan, Jawan also stars Priya Mani and Sanya Malhotra. Vijay Sethupathi, who recently debuted in the Hindi-speaking markets with the acclaimed web series Farzi, is reportedly playing the antagonist. Following almost a month of promotions, Shehzada released in theatres on Friday. Bollywood actor Jaideep Ahlawat, who has worked on projects like Raazi, Paatal Lok, and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar among others, was most recently seen in An Action Hero starring alongside Ayushmann Khurrana. However, the film didn't work at the box office back in December 2022 but found a new life on Netflix. Ahlawat has said that he felt angry about this and thought that it was wrong that it didn't fare well at the box office. When asked if the film didn't get its due credit, Jaideep Ahlawat told Indian Express, “Yes, I definitely feel that. I feel a little bad for Anirudh (Iyer) also, he is a first-time director and he is an amazing filmmaker and an amazing human being. So I felt a little bad for him, the film also and for me, I felt yeh galat hai.” He said, “And then when the film came on OTT, everybody watched and loved it. I felt a little angry also. People (after watching it on OTT) wrote how they wished they had watched the film in theatres. Everybody who watched it in theatres or on OTT loved the film. I haven’t come across anyone who said yeh kya bakwaas film hai (what nonsense this is). It feels weird, I was like yeh samajh nahi aaya aise kyun hua (I don’t know what went wrong). In 2018, Karan Johar produced Dhadak, which marked the debut of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, it was the official remake of the 2016 Marathi blockbuster Sairat, starring Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru. And now, it has come to light that one more Marathi film has caught Karan Johar’s eye and if all goes well, he might soon be remaking it. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Karan Johar had been in talks to remake Jhimma (2021). He loved the film’s concept, funny and emotional moments and its characters. The talks began last year and the recent developments are not known. Nevertheless, if all goes well and if he gets the right actors, the Dharma Productions’ head honcho would be going ahead with Jhimma’s remake.” The source further said, “Jhimma comprises an all-female cast. On Karan Johar’s wish list are Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan and Neena Gupta. He feels that these three actors will do complete justice. Also, bringing the powerhouse artists together will add to the film’s hype.” Jhimma was released on November 19, 2021, and told the story of a group of ladies of different age groups going on an all-women packaged tour to London from India. It starred Sonalee Kulkarni, Suchitra Bandekar, Nirmiti Sawant, Kshitee Jog, Suhas Joshi, Sayali Sanjeev and Mrinmayee Godbole. The release date of the highly anticipated Project K has been announced. Late veteran actor Raj Kapoor's Chembur bungalow in Mumbai has been acquired by Godrej Properties for a whopping Rs. 100 crores to develop a premium residential project. The property is located in the Deonar area in the Chembur location of Mumbai. The land area is 4,265.50 sq m. The report states that the transfer deal was signed by the transferors Randhir Ranbir Raj Kapoor, Reema Jain, Nitasha Nanda, Nikhil Nanda and Neetu Rishi Kapoor on February 16. As reported by Money Control, Godrej Properties said in a statement, “The company has bought Raj Kapoor’s one-acre bungalow and is eyeing a revenue potential of Rs. 500 crores from the luxury housing project.” “We are pleased to add this iconic project to our portfolio and are grateful to the Kapoor family for entrusting us with this opportunity,” Gaurav Pandey, MD and CEO of Godrej Properties, said in a statement, as reported by PTI. “The demand for premium developments has been strong over the past few years. Kirti has begun shooting for Khichdi 2 in Mumbai. She is returning to the mad world of Khichdi and the oddball shenanigans of the Parekh family—led by Himanshu, Hansa, Babuji and Praful. Released in 2010, Khichdi: The Movie has a cult following and is still loved as one of the funniest films of the era. Parminder's chemistry with the goofy but golden-hearted Himanshu (played by Jamnadas Majhetia) was one of the highlights of the mad comedy.  Talking about the sequel, Kirti Kulhari says, “Khichdi 2 is finally happening and it's going to be a hilarious ride! I have so many memories from the first film, from shooting the song 'Chal Chal Bhonsle Market' with JD to doing all the crazy comedy scenes. I am so happy to return as Parminder in Khichdi 2 since this is where it all started for me. I have realised over the years what a massive fan-following Khichdi has, especially among kids and families. I am often asked why I don't do comedies anymore so it's lovely to return to the genre with this sequel. Salman Khan is among the biggest superstars of all time and every move of his makes it to the headline. During the pandemic time, Salman had confirmed in a media interaction that he was in talks for the official biopic of Indian Spy, Ravindra Kaushik with director Rajkumar Gupta. However, after that, things fizzled out. Now, a source close to Salman tells us the real reason why Bhaijaan is not doing the film. "Salman Khan is already doing a spy film in the Tiger Franchise which will be growing from strength to strength in the years to come by. He didn't want to do another spy film, which will lead to a comparison between the two characters. Interestingly, even the legendary Indian spy, Ravindra Kaushik had the code name Tiger, making things even more similar. Hence, after a series of discussions with his team, he let go off Black Tiger," a source told Bollywood Hungama. The rights to make the film were resting with director Rajkumar Gupta. "After confirming with Salman about his involvement in the project, Rajkumar Gupta didn't renew the rights. They eventually lapsed and were acquired by Anurag Basu. The film will now be made by Anurag Basu, who also has Salman at the back of his mind," the source further told us. What about conflict with Tiger? "Anurag Basu's vision for Ravindra Kaushik is very different from the Tiger franchise. However, he is still not 100 percent sure about the casting of Black Tiger. There is also a chance of him approaching a younger actor to play the lead role. We will have a clear picture on Black Tiger in one month." Rather than sign alternative actresses, the perfectionist creator that he is, Sanjay Leela Bhansali decided to scrap the roles that he offered to the legendary actresses Shabana Azmi and Mumtaz in Heeramandi. “They were important but brief roles, and they were written with the two iconic actresses Shabana Azmi and Mumtaz in mind. When Shabanaji and Mumtazji couldn’t do Heeramandi, Sanjay Bhansali decided to scrap the two roles rather than offer the parts to anyone else.” Heeramandi stars Sonakashi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Huma Qureshi and Manisha Koirala. “The series is being shot on huge sets representing a sprawling kotha. The shooting is taking longer than expected. Sequences that were meant to be shot in one day are taking as much as three days.” Sources say Netflix has full faith in Bhansali and are not drawing any budget boundaries. “Netflix knows about the Bhansali magic. They are fully committed to the project,” says an insider, adding that Netflix is looking at Heeramandi as their game-changer in India. The Siddharth Anand directorial Pathaan was released on January 25 with a thunderous response from the audience. Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham the Yash Raj Films venture which started with a bang saw its business grow exponentially with each passing day. Released across 8,000 screens worldwide Pathaan has been enjoying an unopposed run at the global box office, raking in the moolah. In fact, the film has managed to draw in a massive Rs. 963 cr gross at the worldwide box office. Now, as it completes yet another week at the box office, we hear something special is coming this Friday. As per reports, to celebrate Pathaan becoming one of the highest Hindi grossers of all-time, theatre chains across India, viz. PVR, Inox, Cinepolis, Miraj, Movietime, MuktaA2 & others will feature a special ticket rate. In fact, the participating cinemas will celebrate this ‘Pathaan Day’ with tickets priced at Rs. 110 across all properties of these chains. Colors show Durga Aur Charu depicts the journey of two sisters, who are yet to discover that they're bound by blood. Being a sequel to the show Barrister Babu, the new show features two sisters, who are opposites, and after the leap the roles will be essayed by Adrija Roy and Rachi Sharma. On the other hand, the male lead character of Anirban was to be played by Mohit Kumar. However, now, the family drama has bid farewell to Kumar, the channel has recently roped in popular actor Kunal Jaisingh for the role. Known for shows like Ishqbaaz, Kunal Jaisingh will be seen stepping into Anirban's shoes, who will is a politician's son in the show. In the ongoing storyline, Durga and Charu are estranged and still unaware that they're sisters. Both are pursuing their dream of practicing law and their fate is tied to Anirban, a politician's son, who has personal agendas and craves acceptance from his father. The premise of the show is pegged on how the lives of Durga, Charu and Anirban intertwine with a twist of destiny. Confirming his role as Anirban in the show and talking about looking forward to essaying the same, Kunal Jaisingh said, “I'm absolutely thrilled to be part of Durga Aur Charu and play the lead role of Anirban. Some recent reports claimed that Sidharth and Kiara have signed a three-film deal with the filmmaker and producer Karan Johar. E Times quotes Karan replying to their question about whether he has signed a three-film deal with the two of them saying, “Not at all.” The publication also quoted a source saying that considering the relation Karan shares with the couple, he doesn’t need to sign any deal with them. “Sid and Kiara are very close to Karan Johar. He doesn’t need to bind them in any contract. All he has to do is ask them. And they will be a part of any film he offers them. The couple never discussed money or contracts with Karan before they were married. Why should they do so now?” said the source. Sidharth and Kiara have worked together once in a film produced by Karan Johar in the form of Shershaah (2021). Directed by Vishnuvardhan, the movie was based on the life of the Indian Army Captain Vikram Batra, the martyr of the 1999 Indo-Pak war.
