Before the release of Salman Khan's movie Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan in April, Bollywood Hungama had reported that Salman Khan was discussing a new project with filmmaker Karan Johar. More recently, we were the first to inform you that the said film would be helmed by Shershaah director Vishnu Vardhan. According to a reliable source in the film industry, Salman Khan was reviewing scripts and expressed interest in one from Dharma Productions for a 2024 Eid release. However, now in latest episode of Aap Ki Adalat, Salman confirmed the same.

During an interview with Rajat Sharma on Aap Ki Adalat, Salman was asked about his collaboration with Karan, to which he nodded yes and confirmed that they will be working together on a new film. Salman Khan mentioned that he received a call from Karan Johar offering him a film, and also shared that Aditya Chopra had approached him for a movie. He said, “Ab Karan Johar ka phone aaya ki ek film hai. These are the big producer-directors who want to work with me. I also want to work with them. These all began to happen since the past 10 years, uske pehle no one approached me.”

Earlier, a source had informed Bollywood Hungama, “Talks between the two have been going on for a while; in fact, the latest update is that Shershaah director Vishnu Vardhan has apparently been finalized to direct the venture. Though the proverbial dotted line is yet to be signed between all concerned parties, progress has been steady.” Ask for details on the film and the source continues, “The film will see Salman Khan and Karan Johar coming together after a gap of 25 years, though there were reports that the actor had signed on for Shuddhi, the venture never really panned out. Given this fact, and of course the fact that the venture would release on Eid, the makers are sure to pull out all stops to ensure its grandeur.”

Salman Khan and Karan Johar had earlier worked together in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. This will mark as their second collaboration after 25 years.

While currently Salman Khan is enjoying the success of his recent release Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, the forthcoming venture with Karan is said to still be in the nascent stages of development. Interestingly, besides this venture Salman will also be seen later this year in the YRF spy universe film Tiger 3, that is directed by Maneesh Sharma and Siddharth Anand's Tiger vs Pathaan.

On Friday, the final hearing on the Jiah Khan suicide case (2013) was held and the court passed the order in favour of the Pancholis by acquitting Sooraj Pancholi of all abetment charges. While Rabia Khan asserted that the verdict was wrong and even issued a statement about moving the High Court, the Special CBI court observed that Rabia, herself, has been responsible for raising suspicion on her owing to her allegations.

Rabia Khan not only accused Sooraj Pancholi of abetting her daughter Jiah Khan’s suicide but has also asserted several times to the media, that her daughter was murdered. However, the court has dismissed her claims stating that Khan even blamed the agencies like CBI for not conducting appropriate investigation. "The complainant in her evidence directly blamed both the investigating agencies stating that they had not conducted a proper and correct investigation. By giving such open contradictory evidence, the complainant himself has destroyed the case of the prosecution," the court stated in its order.

The court, in its order, observed that the prosecution’s case clearly defined Jiah Khan’s case as suicide but Rabia’s constant claims about the incident being a murder, not only contradicted the prosecution’s case but also destroyed it. Furthermore, the court also maintained that despite the handicap evidence, the prosecution managed to lead the case but, in the end, the paucity of the evidence is what led to the order of acquittal.

The court mentioned that disowning of statements has led court to believe that Rabia raised suspicion on everyone except herself. "When expert witnesses gave their opinion regarding cause of death of the deceased as suicidal, the complainant took exactly contradictory view stating that doctors have given a wrong opinion. The complaint raised doubts even on the doctor who conducted post-mortem examination. The complainant raised doubts on everyone except herself. The evidence given by the complainant is found to be full-fledged with improvements and constrictions," the order said.

The court has also questioned the evidence which included the letter that was submitted on the court allegedly ‘written by Jiah Khan about her failing relationship with Sooraj Pancholi’ claiming that its authenticity cannot be proved and along with that, the court also questioned the delay in the submission of FIR.

If that we hear is true, then apparently Rani Mukerji has locked her next film which will be directed by friend Vaibhavi Merchant.

“Yes, Rani Mukerji has decided on her next venture. It will be a small budget film produced by Yash Raj Films itself. Interestingly, the venture will be directed by Rani’s good friend Vaibhavi Merchant,” reveals a well-placed industry source to Bollywood Hungama. Ask for details on the script and story of the venture and the source reveals, “Right now it is still too early to say anything, besides the entire team is keeping details under tight wraps.”

While it is certainly heartening to know, that Rani has locked her next cinematic venture there has been no official talk about the same. However, another source claims, “There are projects but nothing has been greenlit as such, and nothing has been locked as her next venture.”

Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu were recently seen shooting together in the pretty locations of Sonmarg and Pulwama in Kashmir as they have been wrapping up the final schedule of Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. Fans in the valley were seen going gaga over the superstar’s presence and took to social media to share several glimpses from the behind-the-scenes of the film. They also clicked selfies and photos with the superstar during the shoot schedule. Now a similar situation turned a tad bit chaotic when Khan arrived at Srinagar airport, on Friday.

Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu seems to have wrapped up their Kashmir schedule of Dunki and were recently spotted at Srinagar airport. After they arrived at the location on Friday, to board a flight, the situation turned chaotic as fans crowded around the superstar to click selfies and photos with him. A video of SRK getting mobbed at the airport, despite tight security, has found its way online on social media.

Readers would recall that Shah Rukh Khan has a massive fan following in the state which was quite visible when the superstar received a warm welcome when he arrived in the valley earlier this week. The team shot in Sonmarg and later also, in Pulwama, photos and videos of which went viral on social media.

Coming to Dunki, the film is based on the concept of ‘donkey-flight’ where people take the back route by changing multiple transport modes and countries to reach the destination they want when their visa is rejected. The film brings together Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu for the first time and also marks the first collaboration of the superstar with acclaimed filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani. The film is slated to release on December 22, 2023.

The Jiah Khan court case, which has been in hearing since 2013, has finally received an end as the Special CBI court held the final hearing today, on April 28. In the early afternoon hours of Friday, the scheduled hearing for 10:30am was pushed further to 12pm owing to some new evidence submitted by the prosecution. However, the final verdict has arrived and the court has acquitted actor Sooraj Pancholi of abetment charges related to the suicide case.

Readers would recall that Sooraj Pancholi, who was dating Jiah Khan at the time of her demise, was accused of abetting her suicide after a major fight between the two by Jiah’s mother Rabi Khan. However, the Hero actor has now been free of charges with the court acquitting him from the case on April 28. Reportedly, the court arrived at the decision stating lack of evidence related to linking Pancholi to the abetment. The latter had arrived to the court earlier today, accompanied by his mother and actress Zarina Wahab. Sooraj is the son of Zarina and Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi. The actor made his Bollywood debut in 2015 with the film Hero alongside Athiya Shetty.

Just a day ago, Zarina Wahab had appealed to everyone requesting them to pray for her son asserting that he is innocent in the case. She had said, “I know my son is innocent. We’ve waited for ten years for the verdict. It has been hell for our son. All this time we’ve believed that the almighty would do justice to our son."

Prior to the hearing, while many of Sooraj’s well-wishers supported the Bollywood star in the case, his lawyer too had earlier given a statement stating that the CBI has been intentionally playing games in the matter. Speaking to ETimes, Prashant Patil had said, “It is very unfortunate that the CBI is intentionally playing delaying tactics in the trial of Sooraj Pancholi Versus CBI. If the accused is guilty, he would be convicted of the offence, but if he is innocent then should be acquitted. However, the record of the Honourable Special CBI Court reflects that CBI has been only delaying the trial. It’s unfortunate that Sooraj Pancholi has to face a trial wherein there are intentional delaying tactics played, while the media had no patience for awaiting the final outcome of proceedings.”

Barkha Bisht and Indraneil Sengupta, who started their career with television and have also proceeded to films now, recently decided to end their 13-year-old marriage. While rumours of their separation have been doing the rounds since 2021, both the actors have been maintaining silence on the same. However, recently Barkha not only confirmed that she is doing the duties of a single mother now, but also confirmed that her divorce will be through soon.

In a report published by Etimes, Barkha Bisht said, "Yes, our divorce should come through soon. This has been one of the toughest decisions of my life.” Although the actress refrained from divulging details of her separation from Indraneil Sengupta, she added, "I am a single mother and Meira is my priority. On the work front, I have been doing interesting projects in the OTT space. I am open to good projects in TV and films, too.”

For the unversed, Barkha Bisht and Indraneil Sengupta met each other on the sets of television show Pyaar Ke Do Naam – Ek Radha Ek Shyam which aired on Star Plus. The couple tied the knot in 2008, two years after their courtship.  The couple, who has also been a part of reality shows, have an 11-year-old daughter named Meira.

On the work front, Barkha recently featured in the web series Hunter Tootega Nahi Todega co-starring Suniel Shetty and Esha Deol. The actress has also been a part of a few Bengali films. On the other hand, Indraneil Sengupta, who has been a part of several shows on television, has been a part of Bollywood films like Kahaani, and the recent Doctor G, Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga, among others. The actor has also been a part of several web shows.

The popular franchise Dhoom has seen a number of big star names being attached to it. After the first instalment in the franchise saw John Abraham and his bike make a statement, the second witnessed Hrithik Roshan and his disguises, while the third featured Aamir Khan in a never before seen avatar. Not surprisingly, a number of rumours have been doing the rounds about the casting for the fourth instalment in the franchise with some claiming that it will feature Shah Rukh Khan as the main villain. However, while there has been no update on this development, a new topic of discussion has been John Abraham’s return to the Dhoom franchise.

Commenting on the same a well-placed industry source informed Bollywood Hungama, “Earlier this year John Abraham broke the mould with his performance in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan. His rendition of the main villain certainly created waves, and the audience too loved his performance. So if Yash Raj Films is looking to cast him yet again in a negative role it will come as no surprise.” Ask the source whether there is any truth to these rumours and he says, “There could be more truth to it than any other rumour. In fact, for the past couple of days there have been daily meetings at YRF and John has been seen attending these meetings on multiple occasions. If anything is finalized, it will be at one of these meets.”

Interestingly, the source reasons why John Abraham could be returning to the Dhoom franchise further saying, “If you remember, the climax of Dhoom was open ended. There was no clarity on whether John’s character in the film was dead or had he escaped. This uncertainty could be used, to see him make a return to the Dhoom franchise.” While for continuation purposes it will certainly be closed loop, we wonder if the two films will be links with a flashback sequence detailing his character’s whereabouts in the interim.

All said and done, though buzz around John Abraham returning to the Dhoom franchise with Dhoom 4 seems to be gathering steam, an official confirmation on the development is still pending.

Earlier this year in January, Bollywood Hungama had reported that Janhvi Kapoor and Ranveer Singh were in advanced discussions with the makers to feature in the remake of the 1988 film Tezaab. Interestingly, Kabir Singh producer Murad Khetani, who had acquired the remake rights of the film in 2021, was initially keen on casting Kartik Aaryan and Shraddha Kapoor; however, it was later revealed that the film would in fact feature Janhvi-Ranveer pair reprising the roles of Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor from the original. However, as they say, nothing is over till it is over. Now we hear that the film in question has undergone yet another casting change. As per the latest update, Kartik Aaryan seems to have pipped Ranveer Singh to clinch the title role in the Tezaab remake.

Revealing details about the sudden change in the film’s casting, a source in the know revealed to Bollywood Hungama, “Initially the makers of the Tezaab remake were toying with the idea of featuring Ranveer Singh essaying the role of Anil Kapoor in the remake. In fact, a number of reports in the media even claimed that the actor had been finalized. However, it was not meant to be.” Explaining how Kartik stepped in, the source continues, “Kartik Aaryan has previously worked with the producers on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, and he shares a good rapport with them. When he heard of the casting, Kartik reached out expressing his desire to be part of the venture. Given their past history together and the fact that the film did rather well at the box office, the makers of the Tezaab remake were more than happy to accommodate the actor.”

Revealing a small fact, the source added, “Kartik was already in talks with the makers of the Tezaab remake for a different venture. It was during these talks that he expressed his interest to feature in the movie.”

For now, an official announcement of the cast is awaited, in fact, the makers of the film are expected to make one soon. As for Tezaab, the action romance film starring Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit was released in 1988.

2020 saw the closure of theatres due to the Covid pandemic. Hence, this was the year when moviegoers were treated with several films on digital. While some failed to entice, a few of them stood out. A film that comes in the latter category for many moviegoers is AK vs AK. Starring Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap, it was a meta movie where both played exaggerated versions of themselves. The audience gave it a thumbs up for its unusual storyline. The performances were also appreciated, of both Anil and Anurag. Hence, it will be a surprise for readers to know that before Anil Kapoor came on board, Aamir Khan and even Akshay Kumar were considered to play the actor’s part in AK vs AK.

In a long interview with Mid-Day’s editor Mayank Shekhar, Vikramaditya Motwane, director of AK vs AK revealed fascinating trivia. He said the writer Avinash Sampath wrote the film keeping Aamir Khan in mind. When Vikramaditya came on board, he asked him to drop the idea as he felt that Aamir will never sign such a film.

Then, Vikramaditya Motwane and Avinash Sampath approached Akshay Kumar, since like Aamir Khan, he also has the initials, AK. Interestingly, Vikramaditya, at this point, revealed that Akshay almost threw them out of his office after he heard the film’s idea! Vikramaditya said, “There is Akshay Kumar, who we did approach, and it was a very interesting meeting — I mean, he didn’t sort of outrightly say, ‘Get out of my office,’ but it was close enough!”

Later, they approached Shahid Kapoor and this is when reports emerged that the film is titled AK vs SK. It didn’t work out and finally Anil Kapoor was signed. Vikramaditya stated, “For a while, I was making it with Shahid [Kapoor], which kind of happened, and then it didn’t. The [actor] AKs kept changing. The [director] AK, that is Anurag Kashyap, was a constant. He’s a fantastic actor.”

He further spoke highly of Anurag’s acting talent, “I think he is fab. In fact, everybody on the AK set was talking about Anil Kapoor. I think Anurag, especially in the last scene, is incredible. You actually tear up when shit happens to him.”

AK vs AK is the story of an actor and filmmaker who indulge in a public fight. The director gets shunned, as a result, and to get back, he kidnaps the actor’s daughter, who’s also an actor, and films the actor as he goes about to save her child. It was released directly on Netflix on December 24, 2020.

Ananya Panday will complete 4 years in the film industry on May 10 this year as her debut film, Student Of The Year 2, was released on May 10, 2019. Since then, she has been a part of 8 films and 1 web series and has worked with prominent filmmakers. Earlier this year, she announced that she has signed talented filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane’s film. Nearly a month later, it came to light that the shoot was wrapped up. Vikramaditya Motwane even put up a lovely picture of him hugging Ananya and stating that he’s her big fan. Until now, nothing much was known about the film apart from the fact that it’s a cyber thriller.

Recently, in an in-depth interview with Mid-Day editor Mayank Shekhar, Vikramaditya Motwane unveiled the title of this film. It turns out that his film with Ananya Panday is named Control. He also shared some interesting details about the film, “It’s a ‘computer-generated’ movie, flitting between screens, centred on an Instagram influencer.”

Interestingly, one of Ananya Panday’s forthcoming films, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, is also about social media. Co-starring Siddhanth Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav, it is produced by Zoya Akhtar and directed by Arjun Varain Singh. Apart from Control and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, Ananya Panday will also be seen in the much-awaited comic caper, Dream Girl 2, co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana. It was supposed to release on July 7 and a few days ago, the makers announced that it will now release on August 25. Ananya also has a web series, Call Me Bae, in her pipeline.

Coming back to Control, it is jointly produced by Vikramaditya Motwane and Nikhil Dwivedi. As per reports, it also stars Vihaan Samat.

Meanwhile, Vikramaditya Motwane’s ambitious web series, Jubilee, was recently released on Amazon Prime Video, on April 7. It is about the actors, actresses and filmmakers who ruled Hindi cinema in the 1940s and 50s. It had an ensemble cast comprising Prosenjit Chatterjee, Aditi Rao Hydari, Aparshakti Khurana, Sidhant Gupta, Wamiqa Gabbi, Ram Kapoor and others.

Aparshakti Khurana is currently basking in the success of his latest web-series Jubilee on Amazon Prime Video. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, the show is based around the Hindi film industry of the 1940s and 1950s. Aparshakti plays the role of Binod Das aka Madan Kumar. His portrayal of a nobody who becomes a star actor is also garnering rave reviews.

The actor’s love affair with the bygone era is now all set to go even further. His upcoming single song is based in the 1950s and is inspired from Jubilee. The song will see Aparshakti don the roles of both singer and actor. He has said that the song will be a tribute to the singer and musicians of the bygone era.

Sharing his excitement at the upcoming song, Aparshakti said in a statement, “I have always loved the black and white era. It’s very romantic for me and I was very excited when I got the part of Jubilee. Now inspired by that, my next music video is also inspired from the 1950s era. It will be a tribute to the singers and musicians from that era who gave us some evergreen songs that we still cherish. The video will be a black and white set up. The vocals are going to be mine and, like my other videos, I will also be seen in the video.”

As per the makers, the song is currently being penned and it will be recorded in the next few weeks.

Prime Video, India’s most loved entertainment destination, today unveiled the intriguing teaser of the upcoming crime drama, Amazon Original series, Dahaad. The series is created by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar and is directed by Kagti along with Ruchika Oberoi. Produced by Excel Media & Entertainment and Tiger Baby and Executive Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar along with Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar, Dahaad features Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah, and Sohum Shah in the lead. 

Dahaad is an 8-part crime drama that follows sub-inspector Anjali Bhaati and her colleagues in a small town police station. It all starts when a series of women are mysteriously found dead in public bathrooms, Sub-Inspector Anjali Bhaati is tasked with the investigation. At first, the deaths appear to be clear-cut suicides but as the cases unravel, Anjali begins to suspect that a serial killer is on the loose. What follows is a riveting game of cat and mouse between a seasoned criminal and an underdog cop as she pieces together evidence before another innocent woman loses her life.

Dahaad marks the digital debut of Sonakshi Sinha in which she plays a fierce lady cop, who strives to solve a gruesome murder case. The teaser dives deeper into the case unveiling the suspected murders of 27 women, with no complaints or witnesses, as one woman – sub-inspector Anjali Bhaati, rises against the crime and brings justice.

Bollywood actor Ronit Roy has left his fans worried with a cryptic post on social media about being betrayed. The actor, who is known for his powerful performances in films and TV shows, took to Instagram to share a cryptic message that has left his fans concerned about his well-being. Recently, speaking on the same note, Ronit assured that he is fine while talking about it briefly, however, without mentioning anyone’s name.

In an interview with ETimes regarding the same, the Kaabil actor asserted, “A lot of people have asked if I'm doing okay. Well, I am doing fine. It is just that this episode has happened three-four times now so I couldn't just stop but share the wisdom that I gained from it. I am a very old-school person and I have no regrets about it, but there are some people who have tried to play mind games with me.

Adding further, the Student Of The Year actor said, “I am a simple man, who likes to stay away from everything complicated. Some people can do anything in their careers, I am not one of them. I have achieved a lot without betraying people. I trust people until they let me down. My father always told me to trust people with a hint of distrust, now I feel that he was right.”

For the unversed, a few days back, the 57-year-old actor took to his verified Instagram handle and shared a note, which read, “Bhai…bro, these words have completely lost their meaning. When someone calls me that I take the words seriously and then they do to me what I wouldn’t do to my enemy. It hurts but chalta hai (it is okay), it is their falling. Not mine.”

As per the report, the plot of Vande Mataram is said to revolve around a father and son duo played by Sanjay Dutt and Akash Thosar, respectively. The two are said to have different ideologies but are brought together by a common goal - the love for their country. The film is said to be a tribute to the unsung heroes of India who have sacrificed their lives for the nation.

The film is expected to go on floors soon, with shooting scheduled to begin in Mumbai. More details regarding the cast and crew of the film are expected to be announced in the coming days. Sidharth Malhotra, Raashii Khanna, and Disha Patani will be coming together for the first time in the action-packed entertainer title Yodha. While earlier this year, the actor was seen shooting for the film, now we hear that the makers have finalized a release date for the film and it will be this year right before the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. The date is locked to be September 15, 2023.

Recently it was being said that the film will be releasing in July. However, it seems that the makers have planned to push the release date a little further. Talking about the film, Sidharth Malhotra had earlier revealed that he will be seen in a unique avatar in the film. In a statement, the Shershaah star said, “As an artist, you would want to work on scripts that bring out the best in you. This truly unveiled a newer version of me, which I am very thankful for. The amount of love I have received from audiences and fans is magical. I can't wait to showcase what Yodha has for them.”

On the other hand, Raashii Khanna too had shared her excitement about being a part of a Dharma heroine. The actress, who has earlier shared screen space with the likes of Ajay Devgn and Shahid Kapoor in Rudra and Farzi, will be seen alongside Sidharth Malhotra for the first time and besides that, the film also marks her first collaboration with Dharma Productions. In an earlier statement, the actress had mentioned that she wouldn’t be playing a quintessential heroine in the film but that her role will be that of a headstrong, action-packed character.

Although details about the character Disha Patani is essaying is being kept under wraps, we hear that the Malang actress too will be playing a pivotal role. Directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushka Ojha, Yodha is produced by Dharma Productions in association with Shashank Khaitan and Amazon Prime Video. The film is slated to release on September 15.

Coming to the new entry, Vivian Dsena, who was last seen in Sirf Tum last year, will return to the small screen with Udaariyaan. A source close to the production house revealed that the team was in search of a popular actor. The source added, “Sargun Mehta, Ravie Dubey, and Vivian Dsena have a long-standing relationship. When the new storyline required a popular actor to join the cast, they decided to approach Vivian. They have planned a grand entry for him.”

Taking to social media, Ravie Dubey confirmed the news and announced the entry of the Madhubala actor along with a short promo. “Was on a sabbatical From social media but had to Come back to welcome my brother #viviandsena to our show #udaariyaan Presenting Vivian Dsena as Sartaj FULLPOWER,” he posted. Over the years, the 2001’s release Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein has achieved cult status. Starring R. Madhavan and Dia Mirza in the lead roles, the film tells the story of a young man named Madhav (played by Madhavan) who falls in love with a woman named Reena (played by Mirza) but must deceive her into thinking he is someone else in order to win her heart. However, the film has also faced criticism for perpetuating patriarchal norms and stereotypes, particularly it being a “chauvinist” film.

Speaking of the same, recently, R Madhavan has shared his thoughts on the matter. In an interview with The New Indian, Madhavan stated that he and filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon trusted their intuition and created the Tamil film Minnale, which was later remade as RHTDM in Hindi. “Gautham and I followed our gut and made Minnale and that paid off,” he asserted.

He further added, “Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein is one of those films. Of course, we were accused of a lot of things, how we should treat women and stuff like that, which I have my own debates and arguments about, but it worked. The public liked it and it is still talked about.”

During a discussion of his other films, including the Tanu Weds Manu franchise, Madhavan was asked about his character's portrayal as a "henpecked" husband in the film and the character's physical appearance being ridiculed. In response, Madhavan questioned the fairness of laughing at jokes about body weight in Tanu Weds Manu, while simultaneously taking offence to gender politics in Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein.

He said, “A lot of liberties were taken. People who accuse us of being chauvinistic in Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, I can throw the same accusation back at them by saying you guys laugh when I (my character) was called ‘Ye adrak hai, kahi se bhi badh raha hai.’ You think that’s a joke, and it doesn’t hurt a man? I am sure men will equally be sensitive about it.”

He concluded by saying, “Having said that, I don’t feel anything about it… I don’t think we should become hypersensitive. This is largely a Western concept that tries to make ‘so perfect’, but it isn’t. Men and women are flawed in what they do.”

Producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah has announced the release date of his upcoming hard-hitting social drama The Kerala Story. The film, which stars Adah Sharma in the lead, will be releasing in theatres on May 5. The movie is a sharp take on the global terror outfit ISIS and their activities in the Indian state of Kerala.

Throwing more light on the film’s subject, a statement from the makers said, “The Kerala Story is based on a human tragedy as it unearths the events behind approximately 32,000 women going missing in the Indian southern state of Kerala who are converted, radicalised and deployed in terror missions in India and the world. Directed by award winning filmmaker Sudipto Sen, the film is a heart-breaking tale of women who are victims of this conspiracy that isn’t just limited to Kerala or India, the director had earlier stated that it was his patriotic duty to expose the manner in which thousands of girls were converted and trafficked abroad.”

At the end of 2022, the makers of The Kerala Story brought out the teaser of the film which created a controversy as it face allegations of showing inaccurate events. At that time, Shah had reacted on the same in a chat with Mid-Day and said, “We are making a film on a big tragedy. If I feel that I want to tell this story as a filmmaker, then, discussion on whether I am pro-establishment or not will only reflect an individual’s point of view. As a filmmaker, I only think of the story that touches my heart and moves me enough to want to narrate it.”

The Kerala Story is bankrolled by Sunshine Pictures Private Limited, founded by Shah who is the producer, creative director and the co-writer of the film.

Rapper Badshah on Sunday took to Instagram to release a statement after his latest hit track ‘Sanak’ began to receive backlash from certain sections of society for its questionable lyrics. The rapper said that he would never knowingly and willingly hurt anyone’s sentiments and apologized for it.

“It has been brought to my attention that one of my recent releases, Sanak, sadly seems to have hurt the sentiments of some people. I would never willingly or unknowingly cause offence to anyone’s sentiments. I bring my artistic creations and musical compositions to you, my fans, with the utmost sincerity and passion. In light of this recent development, I have taken proactive measures to change some parts of the song and actioned the replacement with this new version on all digital platforms to further avoid hurting anyone,” he wrote on Instagram.

“The replacement process takes a few days before the changes will reflect on all platforms, I request everyone to be patient during this period. As per several reports, Mahakaleshwar Temple’s senior priest in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain district had slammed Bashshah for using the name of Lord Shiva in the lyrics. He asked the rapper to remove the objective bits and also apologise for hurting the sentiments.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his family issues remain in the headlines. The actor and his wife Aaliya Siddiqui have been making headlines after Aaliya claimed that she had been allegedly abused. In another incident, she had claimed she was being harassed at Nawazuddin’s house after his mother filed a complaint against her over a property dispute. While the public legal rift remains in the news, the court has reportedly ordered both of them to sort this amicably by sitting down and discussing all the issues.

“The court ordered Nawaz to clear all our issues. It put a condition on him that he has to take care of everything in Dubai and the children shouldn’t face any problems. He worked on those court orders and that’s why I’ve come to Dubai with the kids," Aaliya told E-Times.

Aaliya further said that Dubai is financially expensive and living there isn’t easy. She said, “Living in Dubai isn’t easy as there are many financial issues amidst other things. But the court gave a very good decision that Nawaz has to fulfill all his duties and make sure we’re staying in a good condition. He has finally solved all those issues. The court has also left the decision up to the kids – they can stay wherever they want to, in Dubai or India. But first, they should finish their studies in Dubai.”

She further said that the kids are going to live in Dubai for three months and then decide where to settle down. When asked about the current situation with Nawazuddin Siddiqui, she revealed, “I’ve applied for divorce but before that, it’s important to sit and discuss where we stand since that’s what the court has told us. They’ve asked us to settle things out of court. But Nawaz is travelling at the moment. Over the last few years, Rohit Shetty’s cop universe has come alive. All three characters from his cop movies, Singham, Simmba and Sooryavanshi, played by Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar, came together for the first time in Simmba (2018). The trio was then seen in Sooryavanshi (2021), much to the cheers of the crowd.

The 2021 movie also gave an indication that the next cop movie in the franchise will be the Ajay Devgn starrer Singham Again, the third movie in the Singham franchise. It is now learnt that the film will be releasing during the Independence Day of 2024. Co-incidentally, the previous film in the Singham franchise, titled Singham Returns, was also released on Independence Day in 2014.

By choosing this particular date for Singham Again, the makers have advanced the film’s release because it was earlier supposed to release during Diwali 2024. Also, by moving the film’s release, the makers have avoided a clash with the Kartik Aaryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, the third film in the franchise. The previous film in the series, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, was one of the handful of hit Bollywood movies of 2022. The third will again see the collaboration between Kartik and director Anees Bazmee.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has his plate full. After the release of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan on Friday, the actor is busy with the Eid 2023 celebrations. After spending quality time with his family, the actor will head to Dubai for the launch of Aap Ki Adalat.

As per a report in Khaleej Times, Salman Khan will be visiting the Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City on April 25 for the launch of the news talk show. Hosted by journalist Rajat Sharma, Aap Ki Adalat has been one of the longest-running shows on Indian television since 1993. Salman Khan will be joining Sharma in a conversation and it will broadcasted later.

Majid Khan, CEO & MD NKN Media, said, “Ever since NKN Media collaborated with India TV last year, we had the vision to bring this flagship show to UAE in order to give it a local flavour. And what could have been better than making this big with superstar Salman Khan himself, especially when he has such a large fan following in UAE.”

58 years after the iconic, Oscar award-winning and only official film adaptation of the classic musical play The Sound of Music, an Indian IAS officer turned filmmaker Paparao Biyyala is gearing up for the release of his debut film ‘Music School, which marks to be the first Indian film to obtain the rights of the classical play.

The timeless classic Broadway production The Sound of Music written and composed by Rodgers, and Hammerstein in 1959, has been etched in the history of popular culture ever since. Over a decade later, Robert Wise presented the first film adaptation of the musical with the same name in 1965 and won five academy awards. Almost six decades later, writer- Director Paparao Biyyala has obtained the official rights of the music for the broadway musical for his debut film “Music School’.

Recreating three songs from the musical- 'Do Re Mi', 'So Long Farewell' and 'Sixteen Going on Seventeen' beautifully woven for different situations in the film Music School, Music maestro Ilaiyaraaja scored the original musical notes by Richard Rodgers by the London Philharmonic Orchestra for their film.

Getting the best team on board, Music School roped in Hollywood choreographer Adam Murray to choreograph multiple songs for the multi-lingual film Music School, in addition, the makers also roped two of India’s best choreographers Chinni Prakash and Raju Sundaram for film to choreograph the other songs.

Music School is a musical narration of the sensitive and prevailing concern of academic pressure subjected to young students by society, parents and teachers. Of eleven songs in the film, three of them have been recreated from The Sound of Music, situationally woven beautifully in the film to suit the sensibilities of the Indian audience.

The grandeur look of the film was captured by ace cinematographer Kiran Deohans. The cast includes Shriya Saran, Sharman Joshi and Prakash Raj in lead roles in addition to debutant Ozu Barua and Gracy Goswamy in critical roles. The other cast comprises Benjamin Gilani, Suhasini Mulay, Mona Ambeognkar, Leela Samson, Bugs Bhargava, Vinay Varma, Sreekanth Iyengar, Vaquar Sheikh, Phani and many other child actors.

Presented by Yamini Films, Hyderabad, this multi-lingual film is shot in Hindi and Telugu, and dubbed in Tamil. It is releasing on 12th May 2023 by PVR in Hindi - Tamil and Dil Raju in Telugu. Shailesh Lodha, a popular actor and comedian known for his role as Taarak Mehta in the popular Indian sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC), has filed a complaint against Asit Modi's production house, Neela Telefilms. Lodha has sued the production house over alleged non-payment of dues and breach of contract. For the unversed, Shailesh called it quit in 2022 after being an integral part of TMKOC for 14 years. Reportedly, Lodha was waiting for more than six months to clear his dues of over a year. As per the latest buzz, Shailesh has decided to take the legal route.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, in the first week of March, Shailesh Lodha lodged a complaint against Asit Modi's production company for his unpaid dues and filed a lawsuit. Due to Modi's inability to clear his debts, Lodha approached the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and commenced a corporate insolvency resolution under section 9. The hearing for the case has been scheduled for May. 

When the portal reached out to Lodha for a comment on the same, the Waah Bhai Waah host asserted, “The matter is subjudice and under court, so I’ll not comment anything on this.” Meanwhile, the report also quoted Sohil Ramani, project head of TMKOC, saying, “There isn’t much to say that hasn’t been said earlier. Shailesh Lodha has been like a family only. When he left we respected that. And on numerous occasions through email and on the telephone we have requested him to come to the office to sign all required paperwork and take his remaining enumeration.”

On the show, Lodha was last seen in April last year. A couple of months after his exit, actor Sachin Shroff replaced Shailesh.

Twitter has initiated the removal of the blue verification badges from profiles that have not subscribed to the Twitter Blue service. The CEO of the company, Elon Musk, had previously announced this development earlier in the month. Among many other Twitter users, a bunch of Indian celebrities have also lost the blue tick as per the new mandate launched by the micro-blogging site, including Vir Das, Nargis Fakhri and more. 

Vir expressed his opinion on Twitter through multiple tweets, stating that he prefers the concept of buying tickets to verify an artist rather than verifying through blue ticks. He also mentioned that he does not mind being impersonated on the platform. He further added that users can differentiate the real him from impersonators based on whether they agree or disagree with his tweets. 

According to his suggestion, if someone is unhappy with his tweets and wishes to take action or report him to higher authorities, then the account in question belongs to an unverified impersonator.

In a shocking turn of events, a complaint has been filed against popular singer-rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh and his team members for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting the owner of an event management agency. The complaint was lodged by the victim himself on Wednesday. Reportedly, a dispute arose between the event management agency and Honey Singh's team over the cancellation of an event. However, Honey Singh has denied the allegations and issued a statement through an Instagram post.

On Thursday evening, a day after the complaint was lodged, the rapper-singer took to his verified social media handle and stated that the allegations against him are "false" and "baseless." “The complaint and the allegations are false and baseless. There is no connection or agreement between my company or the complainant which the media is showing since morning,” read his note post.

Explaining it further, Singh wrote, “I was engaged for the Mumbai Show through a company named Tribevibe which is a reputed company and a sister concern of Bookmyshow. I did my performance for whatever time the permission was there for.” He signed off by stating, “Rest all such allegations are false and an attempt to tarnish my image. My Legal Team is already working to file a defamation case against such miscreants.”

For the unversed, according to the complaint filed with the BKC police, Vivek Ravi Raman, the organiser of a music festival called Yo Yo Honey Singh 3.0, alleged that Honey Singh and his associates were displeased with the event's cancellation. The complainant claimed that the singer-rapper and his associates subsequently kidnapped him, held him captive at a Mumbai hotel, and assaulted him. The music festival was scheduled to take place on April 15 at the MMRDA Grounds in BKC.

Shahid Kapoor is on a roll with the success of his debut web series, Farzi. Last week, he was in the news when the poster and teaser of his upcoming film, Bloody Daddy, was unveiled in a grand event of Jio Studios in Mumbai. A few days before this event, an exciting still of his film with Kriti Sanon was also unveiled. The tagline ‘An impossible love story’ has heightened the curiosity of the viewers. Though the poster informed moviegoers that the film will release in October 2023, the title wasn’t mentioned and has been kept under wraps.

Bollywood Hungama, however, has heard the buzz in the market that the film is called Shintu Ki iDulhania. According to the chatter, the title goes well with the film’s plot as it’s reportedly about a love story between a man and a female robot. Whether the film is indeed titled Shintu Ki iDulhania or not is something we’ll find out in a few months, once the makers – Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films – make the official announcement.

Apart from Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, this robot rom-com also stars Dimple Kapadia and Dharmendra. It marks the directorial debut of writers Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah. Both have jointly written Madhur Bhandarkar's Babli Bouncer (2022) and India Lockdown (2022) and the upcoming film Mumbaikar, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Vikrant Massey. Amit Joshi, meanwhile, had also scripted Rajkummar Rao-starrer Trapped (2017).

Kriti Sanon has had one release till now this year, the Kartik Aaryan-starrer Shehzada. She’ll next be seen in the much-awaited Adipurush, co-starring Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan. It releases in cinemas on June 16. Her other release of 2023, Ganapath Part 1, interestingly, also releases in October 2023, which is the same month when Shintu Ki iDulhania is also expected to release in cinemas.

Not too long ago, reports suggested that Aaradhya Bachchan and her guardians Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as well as Abhishek Bachchan have moved the Delhi High Court over reporting of fake news. It seems that some portals carried fake news about the 11-year-old girl’s fake death and ailment report that did not go down well with parents Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and they decided to take legal action against the infringers and uploaders for promoting this news. The hearing was held on April 20 and the court has granted an order of injunction against the infringers and uploaders from uploading the infringing videos and any such content which infringes the privacy and gives false news of about Aaradhya Bachchan.

Aaradhya Bachchan filed a suit in Delhi High Court with the help of her parents Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan seeking injunction against several channels and uploaders on YouTube restraining them from posting fake news about her death/critical illness. The suit was filed under sections of breach of privacy, defamation, and infringement of personality rights. In a landmark judgment, the High Court has passed an order that stated ‘All children to be treated with parity’.

Lawyer Ameet Naik, who represented Abhishek Bachchan in High Court said, "It is a landmark judgment on 3 counts - injunction which upholds privacy of a child, against disseminating false and fake news about a child which is harmful to a child and against defamation. Children must be treated with parity - whether celebrity child or otherwise - court has said that the intermediaries should have a zero-tolerance policy on such fake news which is harmful to a child same as that for child pornography". Besides that, in its order, the court has also directed Google / YouTube to give details of the infringers such as contact number, email id, etc.

Advocate Dayan, who accompanied Naik, argued that in the face of it, these videos are false, fake, defamatory, and uploaded with the end and intent of gaining eyeballs and added viewership and subscription to the channel.

The current judgement is expected to be a first of its kind order protecting the rights of a celebrity child who is a minor.

Taali is a social driven film primarily revolving around a transgender character and its attempt to shed focus on LGBT rights and create a tolerant society. Surprisingly, the film is going to be the second time Ankur Bhatia and Sushmita Sen will share the screen and create wonders again after Aarya. Unwrapping the layers of his unique character, Ankur Bhatia recently opened up about his role in the film.

He said, "Taali will remain the most astounding experience for me. I am playing Navin, a gay character in the film. I did quite a lot of research to understand the LGBT community, their emotions, and their perspective. Of course, I had to be conscious and attentive enough to play a character that would communicate the right message and won't come as offensive. The director of the film, Ravi Jadhav sir wanted to keep a very delicate and thoughtful approach towards the whole film and it was with the same elements that we worked on it. Navin runs an NGO for LGBT rights and is a very soft character to play indeed."

Ravi Jadhav-directed Taali is set to start streaming on Voot in June. Pakistani actors Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, popularly known for their 2014 drama Humsafar, reunited on the big screen in the period movie, The Legend of Maula Jatt. The film is Pakistan’s most expensive film to date and went on to make Rs. 100 crore at the box office in the home country and went on to amass $13.8 million worldwide on 500 screens. While the film has not seen India release due to the tumultuous relationship between the two countries, it is set to be re-released in theatres internationally during Eid 2023 celebrations.

According to a report in Variety, six months after the release of the movie in the theatres, The Legend Of Maula Jatt will re-release “across 15 sites in the U.K., seven sites in the U.S. and two sites in the U.A.E. on April 21, in the Eid holiday frame.”

Producer Ammara Hikmat said, “It’s hard to believe that The Legend of Maula Jatt is getting a re-release after months of its initial release but I’m absolutely thrilled for audiences to rediscover the film. It’s a testament to the enduring power of cinema to enchant and captivate even in the face of the digital revolution.”

Bilal Lashari, the director of the movie, is delighted about the re-release. He said, “I’m incredibly grateful for the love and support our film has received from fans around the globe. It’s been an incredible journey and I’m thrilled for everyone to have another chance to experience the magic, heart and camaraderie that we poured into this epic story.”

Pranab Kapadia, founder of Moviegoers Entertainment, and the overseas distributor added, “We are absolutely delighted to witness history in the making. Never before has any [Pakistan] film re-released within six months of its original release. Thanks to the love of audiences across the globe and support from our exhibition partners, The Legend of Maula Jatt continues to set box office records.”

The film is from the times untold where legends were written in soil with blood, a hero is born. Maula Jatt, a fierce prizefighter with a tortured past seeks vengeance against his arch nemesis Noori Natt, the most feared warrior in the land of Punjab. Loyalties are challenged and families are torn apart in this epic tale of truth, honour and justice. The film is Pakistan's biggest movie to date.

The Punjabi-language film is a remake of the 1979 classic Maula Jatt. It is produced by Ammara Hikmat’s Encyclomedia and Lashari Films. The film also stars Mirza Gohar Rasheed, Faris Shafi, Ali Azmat, Nayyer Ejaz, Shafqat Cheema, Raheela Agha, Zia Khan, and Saima Baloch. The film was released in theatres on October 13, 2022.  Recently, Fawad Khan announced his next Money Back Guaranteed with former cricketer Wasim Akram which is releasing on Eid 2023. Fawad Khan made his Bollywood debut in Khoobsurat opposite Sonam Kapoor in 2014. He went on to star in Kapoor & Sons and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. He was most recently seen in the special Karachi-themed episode of the Disney+ Marvel series, Ms. Marvel starring Iman Vellani.

This figure doesn’t include star fees as both of them have opted for profit share.”

Bhushan Kumar, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rochak Kohli have geared up to reignite their musical success story after several years! The trio are reuniting for an upcoming romantic single, ‘Raatan Kaaliyan’, crooned by Ayushmann Khurrana, and composed by Rochak Kohli. After giving audiences chartbusters like 'Mitti Di Khushboo', 'Yahi Hoon Main', 'Chan Kitthan'; the trio is all set to rule hearts of the music lovers yet again with this soulful melody. Interestingly, Ayushmann instantly fell in love with Rochak’s rendition penned by Gurpreet Saini & Gautam G Sharma, together with Bhushan Kumar they created the beautiful melody of ‘Raatan Kaaliyan’.

Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan starrer Adipurush is all set to release worldwide on June 16 this year. But before that happens, the film directed by Om Raut will have its world premiere at the Tribeca Festival in New York on June 13.

The Tribeca Festival, presented by OKX and founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff in 2001, brings artists and diverse audiences together to celebrate storytelling in all its forms. With strong roots in film, Tribeca is synonymous with creative expression and entertainment. Adipurush touted as a visual feast will be showcased in 3D format as a ‘Midnight Offering’ at the festival.

Sharing his reaction on the news, Om Raut said in a statement, “Adipurush is not a film, it is an emotion, a sentiment! It is our vision of a story that resonates with the very spirit of India. When I learnt that Adipurush has been selected by the esteemed jury of one of the prestigious film festivals in the world that I always aspired to be at as a student! This very premiere at Tribeca Festival is truly surreal for me as well as the entire team as we get to showcase a story at global stage that has been very ingrained in our culture! We are truly thrilled and excited to see audience’s reaction at the world premiere.”

Based on the Indian epic Ramayana, Adipurush will see Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan in the roles of Lord Ram, Sita and Raavan. Sunny Singh will be seen playing the character of Lakshman while Devadatta Nage will play Lord Hanuman.

Bhushan Kumar, head honcho of T-Series, said, “It is indeed a moment of pride for all of us to take Indian cinema global! Mahie Gill, who has been hardly making any appearances, is expected to have relocated from Mumbai. The actress is currently settled in Goa with her daughter Veronica but now, she has confirmed that she has tied the knot with long time boyfriend Ravi Kesar. Although the actress has refrained from revealing any details about her wedding and has not even shared the same on social media, she has given a confirmation about her wedding.

In an interaction with Hindustan Times, when they approached her regarding her marriage with Ravi Kesar, she has responded to them saying, “Yes, I married him”. However, no other information was shared by the actress. In the past, Gill has maintained that she doesn’t like discussing about her personal life amid public because of her shy nature. In fact, the actress had also not opened up about having a daughter. In 2019, the actress confessed that she is a proud single mother to a kid.

Later, in an interview with Navbharat Times, Mahie Gill had also opened about her thoughts on marriage. She had said, “Why do I need to get married? I am happy like this (single) and I think one can stay happily unmarried. One can have a family and kids even without a marriage. I do not think we need marriage for kids and a family. Marriage is a beautiful thing but whether or not to go for it, is a personal choice.”

For the unversed, Mahie Gill kicked off her career in Bollywood with the 2003 film Hawayein which was based on the anti-Sikh riots. The actress gained name and fame for her performance in films like Dev D as well as the Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster series. The actress also essayed a pivotal role in the blockbuster Salman Khan starrer Dabangg where she essayed the role of Arbaaz Khan’s love interest.

Bollywood actress Sharvari Wagh, who was last seen in Bunty Aur Babli 2, is all set to enter the spy universe of Yash Raj Films. If reports are anything to go by, the actress is the latest star to join the action world. For the same, she has begun her training.

On her Instagram, Sharvari Wagh posted a video of herself training in backflips with her train. The actress wrote, “Getting closer, one flip at a time!”

A day prior, several reports stated that the actress is also part of the prestigious YRF spy universe. ANI quoted a source saying, “Sharvari has been groomed for years within the well-oiled YRF system that has consistently produced superstars. Adi (Aditya Chopra) believes in Sharvari’s talent and the industry too feels she is an artiste to watch out for. She is a fantastic actor and is extremely gorgeous. Basically, she has all that it takes to be the next female superstar of the country.”

Filmmaker Karan Johar has himself come forward to clarify the reports stating that actors Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri are starring in an upcoming love story, Dhadak 2. The director took to his Instagram account on Tuesday to release a statement.

On his Instagram story, Karan Johar wrote, “To put this on record and for all concerned, we (Dharma Productions) are NOT making a film with the title DHADAK 2 as is being reported in various articles.”

As per a report in the media portal Pinkvilla, a source told them, “The film will be directed by Shazia Iqbal and marks her debut as a director. Both Siddhant and Triptii are excited to feature in a raw and intense love story. The prep work will begin soon.” The report also stated that Dhadak 2 is expected to go on floors in the second half of this year.”

Sharing details of the upcoming project, the source added, “Before taking the film on floors, there will be script reading sessions and acting workshops for the two leads. The film requires them to be in a rooted set up, with slight raw treatment to the story, which can only be polished through workshops.”

The report signed off by quoting the same source saying, “Apart from the father, some other characters also warrant the presence of credible actors. A cast will be put together in a month’s time.”

As per the report, a top actor has also been approached to play the girl’s father who will also be the antagonist. While Karan Johar has denied the title altogether, the report says that the love is definitely in the works, however, it may or may not be titled Dhadak 2.

Dhadak, originally a remake of Sairat, marked the debut of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter. It was helmed by Shashank Khaitan.

On the work front, Siddhant Chaturvedi will next star in Zoya Akhtar’s Kho Gaye Hum Kahan with Adarsh Gourav and Ananya Panday. Meanwhile, Triptii Dimri was last seen in Qala. Recent reports suggest that Aarti Harishchandra Mittal, who was seen in shows like Apnapan, has been accused of running a prostitution racket after the Mumbai police caught her red-handed in an operation. According to these reports, the police officials confronted her by posing as customers and has registered a case against her after gathering evidence by recording the events that unfolded. Two more models were caught in the racket, who is reportedly said to have been coaxed by Aarti Mittal in the name of money, and they have been sent to the rehab centre.

As per reports in Mid-day, the investigation was conducted by the Social Services Branch. An Inspector named Manoj Sutar was informed about the prostitution racket and he decided to pose as a customer in front of Aarti Mittal. He contacted the 27-year-old actress-casting director in a bid to get ‘two girls for his friends’. Mittal, who lives in Oshiwara, Mumbai, responded to his message by asking them to meet them at hotels in Goregaon and Juhu. The actress also demanded him a whopping amount of Rs. 60,000 besides asking Sutar to book hotels.

The report further stated about catching Mittal in the act red-handed. According to these reports, Aarti Mittal handed a couple of condoms to the ‘customers’ before asking them to go into the rooms and the police has captured the entire happenings on video as evidence in the case. After investigating further about the models who were asked to come to the hotel, the reports claim that the models were to receive Rs. 15,000 each for their work as promised by Mittal.

As of now, the case has been registered against Aarti Mittal under Section 370 and other relevant sections of trafficking and prostitution under the Indian Penal Code.
