After Sumbul Touqeer, the Star Plus show Imlie was riding on the shoulders of Megha Chakraborty. And now, the show is all set to pass to another generation with Adrija Roy coming on board for the lead role as Kairi along with Sai Ketan Rao as the leading man Agastya. Ardent followers of the show will recall that the precap of the popular serial showcases how Imlie and Atharva are rejoicing the arrival of their second child, their ‘ati ati small’ and gushing about their dream of a happy family but it is short lived as their lives seems to be in danger because of an earthquake.

While the past few episodes were already hinting at a leap, audiences were eager to witness the arrival of the new Imlie. Their wait has now ended, since the channel introduced Adrija Roy of Durga Aur Charu fame who will be essaying the role of the next Imlie. In a recent post shared by Adrija, she expressed her gratitude after bagging the lead role in the show and penned a heartfelt note saying, “It’s time for every girl to take their stand, fight for their dreams and show the so called society that we can. I am heartily welcoming you all to watch my upcoming show… All your love and support is much needed for #IMLIE ???? & and I know my family will never disappoint me.” She added, “Thank you for giving me this opportunity @gulenaghmakhan Ma’am… Aur haan, IMLIE aa rahi hai aapko gaana sunane iss 11 September se. Dil tham ke intezaar kijiye ga janab!! Special thanks to @4lionsfilms and @riyaz.imi”.

On the other hand, Sai Ketan Rao posted a message, saying, “A new journey begins as Agasthya Upadhyay with Imlie season 3. A story where two opposite worlds collide, meet Agasthya a man with clear goals, bold and ambitious. Need all your blessings & support.”

Going by the promo, it seems that while Kairi, now the new Imlie, has lost everything including her family, she is forced to take up a job of singing at a desi bar where she bumps into the business tycoon Agastya Upadhyay aka Sai Ketan Rao. Agastya’s car seems to have broken down in the middle of the road and he arrives at the bar to pass his time until it is repaired. It is where he comes across the singer and tries to offer her a whopping amount to work for him. But Imlie’s daughter staunchly refuses his offer and tells him curtly that even though she is poor, she will not sell her values or ethics for money. This leaves him surprised, and when he asks her name, she responds saying, ‘She is Imlie’.

Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer The Buckingham Murders is set to screen at BFI London Film Festival in October 2023. The film, helmed by Hansal Mehta, will screen on October 14 and 15 at the festival.

The official synopsis reads, "Fresh wounds are reopened when Jasmeet Bhamra, a cop and single mother who recently lost her child in a shooting spree, transfers to High Wycombe and is assigned the case of a missing child. Director Hansal Mehta explores themes of trauma, closure and the immigrant experience with his signature sensitivity in this atmospheric thriller, featuring a career-best performance by Kapoor."

The YRF Spy Universe is the most celebrated universe of Indian Cinema. In November 2023, Aditya Chopra is all set to start shooting for the Ayan Mukerji-directed War 2 starring Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani, and NTR Jr. in the lead. Bollywood Hungama has exclusively learned that Aditya Chopra and Hrithik Roshan are keen to bring the action-packed thriller during the Republic Day 2025 weekend.

A source informed Bollywood Hungama, "Republic Day weekend is proving to be a great money spinner for the Hindi Film Industry. Be it Agneepath or Pathaan, both Hrithik and YRF have tasted success on this date and are now considering a Republic Day 2025 release for War 2. In fact, Hrithik's next, Fighter, is also set to release on the same weekend in 2024."

The source further added that the entire schedule of War 2 has been planned keeping this release period in mind. "It's a tentative date and things have been worked around keeping this in mind. However, the exact date will be locked only once the film goes on floors in November. There is also a chance of the film being slightly delayed to mid-2025, but at the moment YRF is clear on targeting a Republic Day opening," the source told Bollywood Hungama further.

The release period of War 2 also matches the patriotic theme of the film, which is a face-off between Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR. War 2 will be the next film of YRF Spy Universe after the Diwali 2023 release, Tiger 3. War 2 will be followed by Tiger vs Pathaan.

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has taken strong objection to actor Meezaan Jafri allegedly wearing a “kirpan”, a symbol of Sikh faith, in a song titled ‘Saure Ghar’ in the upcoming movie Yaariyan 2. The SGPC has filed a police complaint and asked for an immediate ban on the film and its song on YouTube.

The SGPC said that the actor is clean-shaven and non-Sikh and that only an initiated Sikh has the right to wear a kirpan. The SGPC also said that the film's directors have not clarified the matter satisfactorily.

The film's directors have said that the actor is wearing a “khukri” (a curved knife) and not a “kirpan”. They have also said that their intention was not to offend any religious beliefs.

The SGPC has said that it is not satisfied with the directors' clarification and that it is initiating legal action in the matter. The Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh has also directed the SGPC to take strict legal action in the matter.

In a statement, SGPC chief Harjinder Singh Dhami said, "The insult to Sikh 'Kakaars' and Sikh principles cannot be tolerated in any film. The producer, directors, and actor of the film did not do it right by presenting 'Sikh Kakaar Kirpan' against Sikh principles and 'maryada' (conduct), he said."

The SGPC has also asked the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ministry of Information Technology and Electronics, and Central Film Board of Certification to take action against the film.

Indian actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh has been working on his new music. The singer recently revealed that he is simultaneously working on two albums – a collaboration album and another one which will likely be a Punjabi one. For the collaboration album, he has been teasing it on social media with several international talents. Amongst them is Latin sensation Camilo, with whom the song is already locked and ready to be dropped on August 31.

Teasing the collaboration on his Instagram account, Camilo wrote, “Palpita August 31st. Love and respect is our common language!” Recently, he also shared a glimpse of the song and was crooning the Punjabi lyrics.

There has been a keen interest in knowing Aamir Khan’s next movie as an actor after Laal Singh Chaddha, which released last year. It is now learnt that he would next be seen on the big screen in a yet untitled movie produced by his own banner Aamir Khan Productions. The actor has locked the Christmas period, December 20, 2024, as the release date of the film, whose director and other details are kept under wraps. The news was shared by the veteran trade analyst Taran Adarsh on his official Twitter page.

Interestingly, Welcome To The Jungle, the third film in the Welcome franchise, is also slated to release during 2024 Christmas. Directed by Ahmed Khan, the movie stars Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Suniel Shetty, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani and Paresh Rawal. The film won’t have Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar, who were an integral part of the first two films in the Welcome franchise.

Co-incidentally, the first film Welcome had also clashed with an Aamir Khan starrer in the form of Taare Zameen Par in 2007. It was a rare occasion when both the films turned out to be successful at the box office.

Coming back to the Aamir movie, its pre-production is currently going on and the film will go on floors on January 20, 2024.

Around 9 days are left for the release of Jawan and the excitement is growing with each passing day. Shah Rukh Khan fans are excited as the film’s promotion will reach its peak this week. Yesterday, the superstar revealed that the song 'Not Ramaiya Vastvaiya' will be unveiled today, that is, Tuesday, August 29. Its teaser has been loved and hence, its song release is keenly awaited.

This will be followed by a grand pre-release event of Jawan. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The event will take place in Chennai, at Sri Sairam Engineering College in the evening. It will probably be held in its sprawling indoor stadium, the details of which are kept under wraps. Also, it’s unclear whether or not it’s a music launch event. Along with Shah Rukh Khan, the event will be graced by Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and director Atlee. Music director Anirudh is also expected to grace the occasion. More than a thousand students and fans will be in attendance.”

The source continued, “Recently, the pre-release event of Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Maaveeran (2023) was also held at Sri Sairam Engineering College. The events of South films usually take place in this fashion but for a Hindi film, this is a first, that too in Chennai. The Tamil industry and fans are excited as Shah Rukh Khan has a huge fan base down South. Hence, to see him and his film being promoted in their style has given them a kick.”

After the Chennai event, the much-awaited trailer of Jawan is expected to drop on Thursday, August 30. Shah Rukh Khan yesterday announced that he’ll be heading to Dubai, UAE where he’ll attend the film’s trailer launch on Thursday at the iconic structure, Burj Khalifa. The star asked fans to be a part of it and to wear red clothes for the launch.

Besides Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, Jawan also stars Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover and Ridhi Dogra along with Deepika Padukone in a cameo. Jawan releases in cinemas worldwide on September 7, 2023.

SRK Universe, the biggest fan club of the superstar, informed Twitter users on Monday that the iconic single-screen theatre, Gaiety Galaxy, will 6 am show for Jawan on September 7, 2023. The move comes just months after they organised 9 AM show for Pathaan. The fanclub wrote, “We created HISTORY as #Pathaan became the first film ever to have a 9AM show in 51 years of iconic #Gaiety theatre and we rewrite HISTORY with #Jawan as we organize its 6AM show at the Iconic #GaietyGalaxy!!"

Shah Rukh Khan will be unveiling the trailer at Burj Khalifa on Thursday, August 31. A new song ‘Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya’ is releasing today with an audio launch set to be organized in Chennai on Wednesday.

Jawan is a Red Chillies Entertainment presentation directed by Atlee, produced by Gauri Khan, and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. The Archies’ cast Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Dot, Agastya Nanda, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda have officially announced the release date of their much-awaited musical film. Helmed by Zoya Akhtar, the film is set to arrive on Netflix on December 7, 2023. The announcement was unique as the cast was seen posing in front of a massive billboard that had the release date written on it.

The video sees all of the seven cast members being extremely excited about their billboard as the "100 days to go" countdown for the film begins. The billboard also has a countdown timer which tracks the number of days before the film launches on Netflix. The caption read, "Hamari kahaani ka countdown shuru ho chuka hai. This is a daily reminder that #TheArchies are making their grand entrance on 7th December."

The film Jolly LLB 2, featuring Akshay Kumar and Huma Qureshi in the lead roles, graced the screens in 2017. Serving as a sequel to the 2013 film Jolly LLB, which starred Arshad Warsi and Saurabh Shukla in prominent roles, both instalments of the franchise garnered an immensely positive response from the audience. Earlier, after six years since the release of Jolly LLB 2, Arshad Warsi had officially announced the arrival of the third instalment in the series. Now, reports regarding the third installment commencing are making rounds.

As per Pinkvilla, Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s Jolly LLB 3 will go on floor in February 2024. “Subhash Kapoor has completed the screenplay and will kick off the pre-production at the end of this year. The third instalment presents a clash between good and evil within the context of a courtroom. Like its previous parts, Jolly LLB 3 will also offer an engaging courtroom drama with the perfect blend of humour, suspense, and a pertinent social issue for debate. The director has ingeniously crafted a storyline that justifies the presence of both Jollys, and they are excited about returning to the courtroom setting after a six-year hiatus,” a source close to the development shared.

Additionally, it was mentioned that Saurabh Shukla, reprising his role as Judge Tripathi from the previous films, will remain an integral part of this upcoming instalment, which is being produced by Star Studios.

Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi's collaboration in Jolly LLB 3 will mark their second on-screen appearance together. Prior to this, the duo had shared screen space in the film Bachchan Paandey. Taking to his Instagram stories, Karan Johar dropped a tantalizing hint, leaving followers speculating if his enigmatic proclamation referred to Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. Johar's post avoided disclosing the film's title, yet his words were enough to set the rumour mill spinning. The post read, “I just saw the trailer of the century!!!!!!!” followed by the hashtag “#iykyk.” Swiftly, the online community began connecting the dots, suspecting that Johar's statement could be a nod to the much-anticipated Jawan trailer.

The impending action-packed film marks the directorial debut of Atlee in Bollywood. Bollywood actors Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel are back on the big screen with the latest release, Gadar 2. The film, helmed by Anil Sharma, also stars Utkarsh Sharma. It has entered the Rs. 400 Crores Club at the Indian box office. Till now, the film has collected Rs. 439.95 crores. However, in a recent conversation, the actor was asked about the ongoing criticism that the movie allegedly perpetuates anti-Pakistan and anti-Muslim agenda.

In conversation with BBC Asian Network, Sunny was asked about how the film has been considered ‘anti-Pakistani’. The actor said that both countries have “hatred among one another” since the partition. “I think people in both countries are like let it all go, we are normal humans on both sides,” he said in Punjabi. He added that a story has to have a villain and a hero.

“But throughout the film, whenever I have portrayed any character, I have never run anyone down. I don’t believe in that. Even Tara Singh is not that kind of person, not that kind of character. And I believe in such cinema,” he added.

“But we need to look at cinema, it’s not trying to affect this side or that side. That’s not what we are. We are global, we are for everyone. It’s only when it’s read and spoken by a certain sectors of people, then that thoughts come in time. Majority don’t do that, it’s a handful of people. That’s when the wave comes,” he added.

When asked about the religious imagery around the villain of Gadar 2 when the current climate has been very disturbing, he said, “Don’t take these films so seriously. There’s so much rubbish happening on digital and even news channels. Cinema comes for entertainment.” However, Deol said that movies have a certain exaggeration to make them look good or bad.

The audience will have to wait a while before Aamir Khan's return to the big screen. However, the actor is not taking a break from producing projects. While he has five films in hand to produce, the sixth will be Ujjwal Nikam biopic with Maddock Films’ Dinesh Vijan, as per a report in Pinkvilla. 

The report also said that the Laal Singh Chaddha actor was considering acting in this biopic. However, now he is attached as a producer. A source told the portal, “Aamir was introduced to the journey of Ujjwal Nikam in the pre-pandemic times and he has been interested in bringing it to the spectacle ever since then. There have been several drafts of scripts written by multiple producer partners, but after all the discussions, Aamir is now on the verge of locking his association with Dinesh Vijan on the Ujjwal Nikam Biopic.” 

The casting is underway and the hunt of a director is also in the works.  “The idea is to take it on floors in 2024 and the casting calls are expected to roll out from year-end. While Aamir was definitely considering to lead the biopic himself, one can’t say if it’s a film starring Aamir Khan or a production with another actor stepping in to play the lead at this point in time,” the source continued. 

As of now, Aamir Khan will produce Hindi remake of Spanish movie Campeones. Sanjay Dutt seems to have reinvented himself as a Pan-India star. After KGF: Chapter 2, he is much in demand in the South for negative roles, and being paid much more than he gets nowadays on his home-ground in Bollywood.

For Double Ismart in Telugu, the sequel to Puri Jagannadh’s 2010 blockbuster Ismart, Dutt agreed to come on board at a hefty fee. Sources from Hyderabad said that he has been paid a whopping Rs 12 crores for Double Ismart, which is a lot more than his current remuneration in Hindi cinema.

A source close to the development stated, “After Liger, poor Puri Jagannadh was abandoned by Vijay Deverakonda. It was then that Puri decided to do a sequel to his hit film Ismart. While Ram Pothineni was roped in again for the protagonist’s role, Puri wanted a powerful villain in the project. He thought of Dutt. But the price Dutt quoted had Puri staggering to other Telugu actors. But he came back to Dutt and gave him the price he wanted.”

One of Dutt’s upcoming Bollywood movies is Baap. It also stars Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff and Mithun Chakraborty in pivotal roles.

The Bombay High Court, in a recent ruling, has declined to halt the release of the much-anticipated movie Dream Girl 2, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, asserting that films should not be prevented from hitting the screens at the eleventh hour. Scheduled for release this Friday, August 25, the film has been the subject of a legal dispute.

Justice Riyaz Chagla delivered this verdict on August 22 during the hearing of a suit filed by Ashim Bagchi, who alleged that the movie's storyline bore a striking resemblance to a script he registered with the Film Screen Writers Association back in May 2007. Bagchi had sought an injunction to halt the film's release pending the outcome of his lawsuit.

However, the High Court emphasized that the suit and the application for the injunction were filed on August 18, leaving insufficient time for the respondents to respond adequately. The court stated, "It is well settled that at the eleventh hour, films should not be prevented from their release. An opportunity is required to be given to the Respondent/Defendant to file their reply to the interim application."

The respondents, including Balaji Telefilms Ltd, its directors Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, as well as the writers of the film Raaj Shaandilyaa and Naresh Kathooria, have been instructed by the court to file their affidavits responding to Bagchi's suit. Bagchi had previously issued a cease and desist notice to the production company, which included Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, before approaching the High Court when no response was received.

The case is set for further hearing on August 31, 2023, just days after the film's scheduled release, leaving the fate of Dream Girl 2 hanging in the balance as the legal battle unfolds.

Imran Khan, who has stayed away from Bollywood for quite some time now, surprised his social media followers by reminiscing about his past work with a post on Break Ke Baad (2010). While we have rarely seen the actor look back at his Bollywood films, the actor confessed that his recent post on the Deepika Padukone starrer was his attempt to ‘reshape’ his relationship with films, further adding that he paid too much attention to the negativity around his movies, rather than focusing on the love it received.

Recently, Imran Khan took to Instagram to share a note about his rom-com Break Ke Baad. Later, on August 24, he shared a series of posts on his Instagram story, wherein he remembered the reactions he received for the film in a heartfelt note saying, “If you're wondering why I'm looking at the past so much... it's because I'm reshaping my relationship with my films. To be clear, I'm not blaming anyone for anything; all opinions are valid, and not everyone will like the same things... that's normal. Unfortunately, at the time, I was only able to look at things from a negative mindset”.

Furthermore adding, “As such, here is how I remembered Break Ke Baad", the actor shared a post filled with negative reviews and backlash he got for the romantic comedy. Followed by the same, he shared another post wherein he said, “That was then.” After this, he posted another set of reviews he received from netizens and fans on social media, where many of them appreciated BKB, stating that it is close to their heart and that they are really fond of the movie. In his final post, Imran concluded, “And here's where I realize my mistake; I piad so much heed to the voices that hurt... and I never valued the voices that loved. What a fool. I won't make that mistake again. Thank you all for helping me change my perspective.”

Imran Khan was last seen in the film Katti Batti in 2015 alongside Kangana Ranaut. While the actor had earlier revealed that he is keen on becoming a director, we wonder if his latest post could have been a hint towards his acting comeback!

Lately, Nitesh Tiwari and his ambitious project on Ramayana have been constantly in the headlines. Readers may recall that recently Bollywood Hungama had learned that KGF star Yash had undergone multiple look tests for the film for the role of Raavan and his finalisation is yet to be decided. The source also confirmed the speculations about Ranbir Kapoor's casting. Amid all the buzz, a latest report suggests that not Alia Bhatt, but South actress Sai Pallavi is likely to play the female lead.

As per a report by IndiaToday, since Alia Bhatt’s dates were not available, the Bollywood actress walked out of the project. The report has also speculated that Sai Pallavi is expected to replace the Highway actress.

Having said that, it is worth mentioning here that in our previous report, we had informed that a source close to the project confirmed that Alia Bhatt was not approached for the upcoming Nitesh Tiwari directorial. “In fact, the film has not yet reached the stage where they offer Sita’s role to anyone; nobody has been approached yet,” told the source to Bollywood Hungama.

The source had also added that Tiwari has always given a lot of time to his projects to complete, in order to achieve quality. “Nitesh Tiwari took two years for Dangal as well. He is a dedicated director and takes his own time to finish the good product. Dangal was announced in January 2014 and released in December 2016,” said the source.

After the tremendous success of Pathaan, Siddharth Anand is all set to create waves with his upcoming project Fighter. According to sources, the director is currently working on a party anthem for the much-awaited aerial action film. The shooting scheduled for which is set to commence in the first week of September.

A source close to the production reveals, "Siddharth Anand's movies are known to have great music and party anthems, be it Anjaana Anjaani or WAR or even Pathaan. Fighter is going to be no different, the team is currently working on a song which will be shot on a grand set in Mumbai. Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor and the rest of the cast are all currently undergoing prep and rehearsing for the song and shooting for it is set to commence in the first week of September."

With chart-toppers like 'Salaam Namaste,' 'Bachna Ae Haseeno,' 'Anjaana Anjaani,' 'Bang Bang,' 'Ghungroo,' 'Jhoome Jo Pathaan,' and numerous others, Siddharth Anand has consistently left the audience in awe with the musical offerings from his movies. Once again, the most wanted man in Bollywood is set to amaze us with yet another grand party anthem that is sure to leave a lasting impression.

Moreover, some may also be aware that the two actors were also engaged for a brief period of time but later, decided to go their separate ways. Renowned actor Prakash Raj has been booked in a police station in Karnataka's Bagalkot district for sharing a meme on the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)'s moon mission Chandrayaan-3. A complaint was filed against the actor by Hindu organisations leaders in Banahatti police station of Bagalkote district on Tuesday. 

As per a report by PTI, the police said, “A complaint has been filed against actor Prakash Raj for his post on the Chandrayaan-3 mission. Hindu organisations leaders filed a complaint against the actor in Banahatti police station of Bagalkote district and have demanded action.”

Earlier on Sunday, Prakash Raj took to the microblogging site Twitter to share a caricature of a man in a shirt and lungi pouring tea. Sharing the picture, he wrote, “First view just arrived from Chandrayaan .. #VikramLander #justasking."

The meme was in reference to the fact that the first person to walk on the moon was Neil Armstrong, an American. However, some people interpreted the meme as being disrespectful to the ISRO and the Chandrayaan-3 mission. “Hate sees only Hate.. i was referring to a joke of #Armstrong times .. celebrating our kerala Chaiwala .. which Chaiwala did the TROLLS see ?? .. if you dont get a joke then the joke is on you .. GROW UP,” Raj wrote in an Instagram post.

Prakash Raj has since clarified that he did not mean to disrespect the ISRO or the Chandrayaan-3 mission. He said that the meme was just a joke and that he did not mean to hurt anyone's sentiments.

Shabana Azmi, who is recently receiving a lot of love for her role as Jamini in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, has been warning others of phishing scheme. According to the actress, someone has been misusing her name, and messaging her friends and acquaintances. The actress has taken to social media to warn her near and dear ones about the imposter, further asserting that she will be lodging a complaint soon in the cyber cell regarding the incident.

In a notice shared by Shabana Azmi on her social media account on X, which was previously known as Twitter, it read It has come to our notice that some of our colleagues and associates, have received messages purported to be from Ms Shabana Azmi. These are clearly “phishing” attempts asking responders to make purchases on App Store for the messenger.”“ Further, asking the netizens to beware of such scams, the notice read, “Please do not reply or pick any calls/messages that appear to be coming to you from Shabanaji. This is a cybercrime of impersonation, and we are making a police complaint. As of now the two numbers from which these messages have been reported are +66987577041 and +998917811675. Thank you.”

Although no further details on the same has been reported, Shabana has asserted that a legal action will be taken against the impostor and other perpetrators.

Dream Girl 2 is all set to release this Friday, August 25, and there's excitement for it among audiences. Despite competition from Gadar 2, the comic caper has managed to generate a buzz and has also had decent advance sales till now. The film has undergone the process of censor certification twice in the last one week. Bollywood Hungama in this special report will throw light on this aspect.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) awarded a U/A certificate to Dream Girl 2 on August 16. However, the Examining Committee asked for four changes. They muted the word 'b*****d' at two places. A dialogue on circumcision, 'Phir se khatna karwaoonga, jitna bhi bacha hai', was deleted along with the visuals. Some modification was carried out in the dialogue 'Behen kyun de di'. Finally, an anti-smoking ad was inserted before the start of the second half and an anti-smoking ticker was placed in the smoking scenes. The censor certificate was granted on August 16. At that time, Dream Girl 2's run time was 133 minutes, that is, 2 hours and 13 minutes.

However, on August 21, the makers approached the CBFC again and voluntarily removed as much as 28 minutes of the film. At the same time, they also added 25:31 minutes of footage. In all, the makers deleted 12 scenes and added 16 sequences. An insider told Bollywood Hungama, “It is very rare for a filmmaker to add and remove so many scenes voluntarily in his/her, that too after receiving the censor certificate.” Once these changes were carried out, the final run time of Dream Girl 2 turned out to be 130 minutes, that is, 2 hours and 10 minutes.

Dream Girl 2 stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Ananya Panday, Paresh Rawal, Annu Kapoor, Manjot Singh, Vijay Raaz and others. It is directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, who also helmed Dream Girl’s first part, which was released in 2019.

Raju sir is planning to release the Dunki teaser on Diwali and is planning to start working on the same at the earliest.” Interestingly, the Salman Khan starrer Tiger 3 is slated to hit screens around Diwali on November 10, in all likelihood, the teaser of Dunki will release around the same time, and will be attached to the Maneesh Sharma directorial.

As for the film, Dunki, hints at a rollercoaster ride of emotions, unexpected turns, and the resilience of the human spirit. The teaser, slated to be released around Diwali, is expected to provide a sneak peek into the world that Rajkumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan have meticulously crafted. The combination of Hirani's storytelling prowess and Shah Rukh Khan's magnetic on-screen presence is a recipe for cinematic magic that is sure to captivate audiences worldwide.

The film itself, Dunki that also stars Taapsee Pannu is reported to hit screens in December 2023. However, there has been no official announcement on the release date.

The auction notice for actor and BJP MP Sunny Deol's bungalow in Mumbai's Juhu locality was withdrawn due to technical reasons, the state-owned Bank Of Baroda said on Monday. The bank has said in a statement that the notice was withdrawn "as per the normal industry practice followed in other cases as well".

The bank did not specify the exact quantum of dues to be recovered but said that the notice was based on a symbolic possession of the property. The bank has applied for physical possession of the property, and the matter is pending before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate.

Sunny Deol has told the bank that the property is in use, so the sale will be initiated as per the provisions of the SARFAESI Act, which empowers banks and financial institutions to take possession of assets/properties of credit defaulters without court intervention.

The actor has also approached the bank to settle the dues. The auction of the Juhu property known as Sunny Villa was scheduled to be held on August 25. The minimum bid amount was set at Rs 5.14 crore.

The auction was withdrawn after the bank received representations from Sunny Deol and his legal team, the bank said. The bank said that it is "committed to resolving the matter amicably" and that it is "in touch with the borrower to find a mutually agreeable solution".

Recently, social media was taken by storm when it was reported that Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar are not a part of Weclome 3 and have been replaced by Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi. While Anil and Nana have made the character of Majnu and Uday iconic, Sanjay and Arshad will be playing a similar character in Welcome To The Jungle, but with a new set of names.

Bollywood Hungama has exclusively got to know from our highly placed sources that Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar were indeed offered Welcome 3 but the things could not materialize due to monetary factors. "There can't be Welcome without Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar. They were first offered the film, but the conversation soon fell through. Producer Firoz Nadiadwala got the shock of his life when Anil Kapoor demanded Rs. 18 crores to act in the film," a trade source told Bollywood Hungama.

Firoz tried to negotiate with Anil Kapoor, but the latter was adamant about the amount that was demanded. "Anil felt that Welcome is Welcome because of Majnu and the film will just get wider in the third part with the addition of Akshay Kumar. He felt that he deserved the money as the third part is a potential Rs. 300 crore film at India Box Office and even he deserved the amount he asked for. He tried to put forth his point, but when Firoz refused, he willingly backed out of the film. Akshay Kumar also tried to intervene and get Anil on board, but Anil was stuck on getting Rs. 18 crores," the trade source further told us.

With Anil's exit, Nana also decided to back out of the film as he didn't want to play Uday Bhai without his fellow Majnu. "Uday and Majnu are like Pav and Bhaji. There is no fun to eat either Pav or Bhaji and it makes sense only to have both components together. Once Anil backed out, Nana also took a backseat. Akshay and Firoz then decided to bring in Munna and Circuit in Welcome 3," the trade source added.

Welcome 3 is all gearing up for a big Christmas 2024 release. It stars Akshay Kumar, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Suniel Shetty, Krushna Abhishek, Kikoo Sharda, Mika Singh and Daler Mehendi in lead roles.

The Akshay Kumar-Pankaj Tripathi-Yami Gautam starrer, OMG 2, has been making waves since its release last week. The film has turned out to be a highly acclaimed entertainer, laying emphasis on the need for sex education in India. Since its release, several important voices have been heard demanding the subject’s inclusion in school curriculums. Now, an education society in Ulhasnagar, Maharashtra, has become the first one to do it.

A couple of days back, a special screening of OMG 2 was organized by the Sindhu Education Society in Ulhasnagar under the leadership of Rekha Thakur (Secretary). The audience included respected MLA Kumar, 184 teachers and Principals from around 15 schools in Ulhasnagar. Amit Rai, the writer and director of OMG 2, was also invited for the occasion. After the film received a thunderous response from everyone present during the screening, the organizers (Sindhu Educational Society) announced that they would start including sex education in their curriculum from the current academic year.

This has come as a huge victory for the makers of the film. While CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) is facing a lot of flak for the certification of the film, an education society has decided to have their curriculum revised after watching the movie. Amit Rai, who was at the event said, “This is something I shall always cherish. The purpose behind making this film has been attained. I am so happy that the film is not just doing well commercially but our message has reached out to people at large and we are witnessing changes happening all around us. Nothing can be more gratifying than this.”

OMG 2 features Pankaj Tripathi as a troubled parent who challenges the court, the school, and the education system for their lack of sex education are given to teenagers whereas Yami Gautam plays the defence lawyer. On the other hand, Akshay Kumar is seen in a cameo, wherein, he essays the character of Lord Shiva’s messenger. The film released on August 11 along with the Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2.

Actor Pankaj Tripathi has faced a personal loss as his father Pandit Banaras Tiwari has passed away today at the age of 99. The actor has left for his native place to attend his father’s last rites.

Informing about Pandit Banaras Tiwari’s passing away, a note from Pankaj Tripathi’s publicist read, “It’s with a heavy heart to confirm that Pankaj Tripathi’s father, Pandit Banaras Tiwari is no more. He lived a wholesome life of 99 years. His last rites will be performed today amongst his close family. Pankaj Tripathi is currently on his way to his village in Gopalganj.”

Pandit Banaras Tiwari was known for being a farmer and a Hindu priest. Pankaj Tripathi also worked as a farmer with his father till he was in the 11th standard in school. Shah Rukh Khan’s production house, Red Chillies Entertainment, recently reported some users on social media for stealing and leaking parts of their upcoming movie, Jawan. This film will be shown in theatres on September 7th. They have taken legal action against five users who are thought to have leaked the clips and harmed the movie. These ongoing issues have made many other filmmakers more cautious during the final stages of making their movies, including the team behind Prabhas’ Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire, which is set to be released on September 28th.

It was recently found that they're keeping a big secret about Prabhas’ Salaar. They're doing the final work on this exciting movie in a village in Karnataka. A source close to the film told a leading media house, "It’s a formidable task to safeguard films’ scenes and visuals as the leaks can originate from anywhere, despite all the implemented protections.

Director Prashanth Neel has adopted a robust approach to protect the content of Salaar while it’s in post-production. He has relocated all post-production activities to Basroor village in Karnataka, where the studio of the film’s music director, Ravi Basrur, is located. While Ravi is overseeing background scoring and music composition, Prashanth is working on the trailer and overall post-production of the movie."

Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire is on its way to bring some never seen action visuals and a grand canvas supported by a thrilling background score on the big screens. The film is indeed one of the biggest films that also marks the massive collaboration of KGF director, Prashanth Neel, and Baahubali star Prabhas, who are coming together for the first time.

The makers of Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire are yet to promote the film. However, they had recently teased the audience with a preview. Now, the makers are working on the trailer and they want to release it in the first week of September. They also plan to do a big promotion when they release the trailer.

The blockbuster success of Gadar 2 has made Sunny Deol one of the hottest actors of Bollywood. The superstar created a frenzy in cinemas with his mass avatar in the Anil Sharma-directorial and made it clear that he still has an enviable fan following. As a result, it seems like producers are now jumping on the bandwagon and announcing sequels to his popular films in the 90s and early 2000s. Yesterday, there were reports that Border 2 is in the offing. Today, the announcement poster of Maa Tujhhe Salaam 2 was launched.

The poster was exclusively tweeted by veteran trade analyst Atul Mohan on his X (formerly Twitter) handle. The poster consists of the film’s title, a tricolour and a massy dialogue. The first part, Maa Tujhhe Salaam (2002), had the famous saying, ‘Doodh maangoge toh kheer denge, Kashmir maangoge toh chheer denge’. Maa Tujhhe Salaam 2’s poster, however, takes this dialogue one step further. It says, ‘Doodh maangoge toh kheer denge, Kashmir maangoge toh Lahore bhi chheen lenge’. Although the star cast is not unveiled, Sunny Deol, who featured in the first part, is expected to be a part of the sequel as well.

Besides Sunny Deol, Maa Tujhhe Salaam also starred Arbaaz Khan and Tabu. It is the story of Major Pratap Singh (Sunny Deol), stationed in Kashmir, who’s fighting the enemies from across the border. Albaksh (Arbaaz Khan), an illiterate man staying on the Indian side, works religiously for Lala Sultan (Tinu Verma). Lala, however, is hand-in-gloves with Pakistan’s Gul Mastan (Sudesh Berry) and they wish to liberate Kashmir from India. Albaksh leaves Lala once he learns of the latter’s anti-national activities. He has to pay a heavy price for it and this is when Major Pratap Singh comes to his rescue. Tabu features in the film as Captain Sonia Khanna.

Maa Tujhhe Salaam was released on January 25, 2022, a day before Republic Day and around six months after Gadar – Ek Prem Katha (2001). As a result, it got the benefit of its blockbuster success, patriotic fervour and decent word of mouth. However, many complained that Sunny Deol was missing in the middle of the film. Coincidentally, Gadar 2 also had the same issue and yet, it’s on its way to breaking records. It now remains to be seen whether Maa Tujhhe Salaam 2 features Sunny Deol from start to finish and which other actors will be cast.

Moreover, the poster of Maa Tujhhe Salaam 2 only mentions the name of producer Mahendra Dhariwal. The director’s name, too, hasn’t been announced yet. Maa Tujhhe Salaam 2 will release in cinemas soon.

After a hush-hush engagement, it seems that Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha are expected to have a hush-hush marriage too. While earlier reports stated that the two of them are planning to tie the knot by the end of this year, recently it is being reported that Parineeti and Raghav have opted for a September wedding. If current reports are to be believed, it seems that the couple have locked the date as September 25 and they are expected to have a destination wedding just like Parineeti’s cousin Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas.

A source was recently quoted in ETimes wherein the wedding of Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha was discussed, as the source said, “It will be a grand wedding. Parineeti is extremely tight-lipped about the festivities that will be held by the families. Her team has already started working out the details and her dates. She will plunge into her wedding prep in the first week of September." Reports suggest that the actress and her politician fiancé are keen on holding the wedding ceremony in Rajasthan, followed by a grand reception in Gurugram. In fact, soon after the couple got engaged in May, reports made the rounds that the two of them had visited the beautiful state, in search of their wedding venue.

When Parineeti Chopra was asked about her marriage with Raghav Chadha last time, the actress had maintained that they would lock a date once they complete their work commitments. The actress is currently shooting for The Great Indian Rescue alongside Akshay Kumar, in which she plays the role of Jaswant Singh Gill’s wife Nirdosh Gill.

As for Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha, the couple got engaged amidst the presence of friends and family in a beautiful earthy themed ceremony in Kapurthala House in Delhi.

Sunny Deol is on a high right now as his latest film, Gadar 2, is doing record business at the box office. In 9 days, it has earned nearly Rs. 336 crores, surprising the trade and industry. However, on the other hand, it has come to light that he is facing financial difficulties. As per a notice in The Times Of India dated August 20, a notice published by Bank Of Baroda states that Sunny Villa, owned by the actor and situated in Mumbai’s Juhu area, will be e-auctioned for non-payment of dues.

The notice states that Ajay Singh Deol aka Sunny Deol is the borrower and guarantor and that the total amount owed by him to the bank is Rs. 55,99,80,766.33. In other words, he owes Rs. 55.99 crores or nearly Rs. 56 crores which he failed to pay on time. As a result, the property will be auctioned on September 25, 2023. The auction won’t be held physically and will be done virtually.

An insider told Bollywood Hungama, “The notice states that the buyer, after paying the amount, will get ‘symbolic possession’. After the amount is deposited, Bank Of Baroda will approach the District Magistrate. Once the DM approves, the buyer will get physical possession of the property. However, this process can be slow and can take months or even years. Until then, Sunny Deol can operate his business from Sunny Villa.”

Sunny Villa houses Sunny Super Sound, the office of the actor, a preview theatre and two other post-production suites. The preview theatre is extremely famous and most of the big releases have their cast and crew and industry screenings at Sunny Super Sound. Several press shows for journalists are also held here. Established in the late 80s, the theatre and the post-production studios have been equipped with modern technology.

As per a report in Bombay Times in February 2016, Sunny Deol had mortgaged his studio to raise money for his directorial venture, Ghayal Once Again (2016). This report stated that to repay the dues he owed to his financiers; he decided to take a loan against his property.

Khalnayak (1993) completed 30 years on August 6 this year. Starring Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit and Jackie Shroff, this crime drama is memorable thanks to the performances, gripping moments and the unforgettable music score. The film was also a huge hit as it was released at a time when Sanjay Dutt was imprisoned, and it added to the film’s buzz. Hence, when such a landmark film completes 30 years, there have to be celebrations.

Bollywood Hungama has learnt that a special screening of the film will be held in Mumbai to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Popular radio station, Radio Nasha, has taken the initiative to organize the screening on Monday, September 4, at a popular multiplex in the suburbs of the Maximum City.

A source said, “It’s not yet confirmed who from the film’s team will make it. But actors Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff, director Subhash Ghai and music composer Pyarelal are expected to present. The invitation will go to all the team members of the film, including actors Ila Arun, Anupam Kher, Ali Asgar, singer Alka Yagnik, etc.”

The source continues, “As it happens with the screenings of Radio Nasha, the cast and crew members will be felicitated and will be encouraged to share their memories and trivia by RJ Rohini and RJ Divya Solgama. This will be followed by the screening of Khalnayak. Along with the team of the film, fans can also be a part of this unforgettable event as they’ll have a chance to win tickets to the premiere.”

An industry insider said, “Khalnayak was released 30 years ago. This means that the younger generation has never seen this film on the big screen. On top of that, they’ll get to hear trivia first-hand from the film’s cast and crew, including how there was pandemonium and a crazy demand to see the film way back in 1993.”

Radio Nasha has held several such screenings of significant films in the past. One of their most memorable events was the screening of Hum Aapke Hain Koun (1994), on its 25th anniversary. It was held on August 9, 2019, at Mumbai’s Liberty Cinema. Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, director Sooraj Barjatya and many others graced the screening. The way the lead actors danced and the way the cast and crew went down memory lane made it a very exciting occasion.

Last year, Radio Nasha organized a screening of Gupt (1994) on its 25th anniversary, on July 9 at Metro Inox Cinema. Lead actors Bobby Deol and Kajol, director-editor Rajiv Rai, production designer and co-writer Shabbir Boxwala, music director Viju Shah, art director Bijon Das Gupta, singers Udit Narayan, Sunita Rao and Sadhana Sargam, voiceover artist Chetan Shashital and actors Harish Patel, Mukesh Rishi, Tej Sapru and Dalip Tahil were in attendance. Bobby had made the evening memorable as he danced to his entry song ‘Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela’ when it was played on the screen.

I have to confess I haven’t spoken to Sunny Deol for ages. When the phone rings, and I see his name flashing, I know he’s calling because he is in a happy space. Says Sunny, “I am indeed very happy. When we did the second part (of Gadar) we never knew it would be so loved by the audience. As you rightly put it, two whole generations have gone by since we did the first Gadar. And still people are as excited as they were the first time. I am amazed and very very happy. We need some hits to keep the film industry on its feet.”

When I remind Sunny that the collections of Gadar2 on the opening day are as high as they were when the first Gadar had opened Sunny laughs joyously, “Yes, I know. It’s God’s blessings and the love of the people.”

Sunny looks exactly the same now as he did in the first Gadar film. What is the secret recipe of his longevity? Sunny is embarrassed. “I don’t know! Why do people call me Paaji? I don't feel my age at all. I don’t think about how old I am. I’ve never done that. I’ve always done my work to the best of my abilities regardless of my age.”

When I mention the trashy malicious reviews of Gadar 2 he chuckles, “I’m used to it. I don’t pay attention to these things.”

Sunny and the Gadar team now plan a multiple city tour. “The love of people everywhere has to be attended to. We are planning to visit several cities, now that they have shown their unconditional love for our film. I can’t believe people still love me so much.”
