Rahul Mahajan, who has been married twice before, is reportedly headed for divorce with his third wife, Natalya Ilina. The couple has been married since 2018, but according to a source, they have been having compatibility issues since the beginning.

"They stretched their marriage as long as they could, but they parted ways last year and have filed for divorce," the source told Bombay Times.

When the portal reached out to Rahul for clarity over the matter, he neither confirmed nor denied the portal. He said, "I want to keep my private life private. I would not like to comment on anything. I do not discuss what's happening in my personal life even with my friends... By the way, I'm doing well."

The report quoted a close friend of Rahul stating that he was "absolutely shattered" after the breakup, but he is now "doing fine" and "getting back to life." "He was not in a great state last year, but now he is hoping to find love again," the friend said. "He has also decided to not talk about his personal life due to his past experiences."

Rahul and Natalya were a part of the reality show Smart Jodi last year. 

This is the third time that Rahul has been married. He was previously married to Shweta Singh and Dimpy Ganguly. Both of those marriages ended in divorce.

Kangana Ranaut, who is of late been in news for her controversial statements against ‘superstars’ and ‘Bollywood’ industry, was questioned by a Rajya Sabha member Subramanian Swamy for the Y plus security given to her. The actress received immense protection after she made accusations and statements against Shiv Sena which led to her being given ample security for protection. After Mr. Swamy questioned about the security on social media, the actress took to the platform to respond to his statement.

Kangana Ranaut was left quite upset when a Rajya Sabha member accused her of being give too much security, responding to which, the actress called herself a ‘vocal and concerned citizen’. She added that her statements have often angered certain groups and also revealed that her upcoming projects can ruffle feathers, which led to her requesting for more protection. Subramanian Swamy took to Twitter to say, “The SPG knows, and has kept a register of her movements. I wonder why since it is no business of SPG to track Bollywood stars. In her case, on a special dispensation she has a high level of security provided.”

Responding to it, Kangana Ranaut added, “I am not just a Bollywood star sir, I am also a very vocal and concerned citizen, I was the target of political malice in Maharashtra, at my expense nationalists could make a government here. I also spoke about tukde gang and strongly condemned Khalistani groups. I am also a filmmaker, writer and producer and my next production Emergency involves operation Bluestar… there is evident treat to my life hence I requested for extended security… Is there something wrong in this Sir?”

Talking about the movie Emergency, the film is based on the Indian Emergency of 1975 with Kangana Ranaut, not only directing and producing the film, but also essaying the role of Indira Gandhi in the historical drama.

Bhumi Pednekar is the Brand Ambassador for Dimensions Mumbai this year. A hard-core Mumbai girl herself, Bhumi Pednekar, in her role, will be engaging and supporting the young creative collective of aspiring filmmakers at Dimensions Mumbai.

Bollywood producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films has spent a whopping Rs. 103 crore to purchase apartments. The producer purchased apartments on the 15th and 16th floors respectively at Parishram by Rustomjee on Nargis Dutt Road at Pali Hill in Mumbai.

As per a report in Money Control, the apartment units are spread across 9,000 square feet and were registered on July 25, 2023. The carpet area of the units is 7,791 sq. ft. The registration took place between Keystone Realtors and Dinesh Prem Vijan. The documents showed that a stamp duty of Rs 6.17 crore was paid.

Meanwhile, Dinesh Vijan is busy with many projects. Following Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, he is producing Stree 2 starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. He also has an untitled project with Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor, Pooja Meri Jaan with Mrunal Thakur and many more. Celina Jaitly has taken action against a self-proclaimed Hindi film critic and journalist from Pakistan named Umair Sandhu who alleged that she was in a relationship with her mentor Feroz Khan and his son Fardeen and made some bizarre allegations. Celina took the matter to the National Commission of Women in India who in turn initiated action after the actress’ complaint and took the matter to the Ministry of External Affairs.

In a long tweet, Celina revealed, “A few months ago, a self-proclaimed Hindi film critic and journalist from Pakistan named @UmairSandu took to Twitter to make viral untrue horrific claims about me which included bizarre allegations like my relations with both my mentor Feroz Khan and his son Fardeen , in addition he made claims targeting me and my family’s safety and security even in Austria.”

“My response to his harassment and fake claims from Pakistan went viral and garnered support from millions of Twitterati including Pakistani nationals who were appalled at his behaviour. The perpetrator changes his location on social media consistently but was hiding in Pakistan, as a result there of legal recourse was not possible for me and he continued to assault my character and modesty from across the border. I thereby took the matter to the National Commission Of Women in India. @NCWIndia took cognizance of my complaint and wrote a letter addressed to the respected Joint Secretary (PAI Division), Ministry of External Affairs @MEAIndia for initiating necessary action in the matter. The Commission has received a positive response from the MEA communicated via letter. The Ministry views the incident with utmost seriousness and has raised the matter with Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi seeking an immediate investigation and action of the incident,” she added.

“For me it was not just a fight for the open assault on my character but also an assault on my integrity, my motherhood, my family and above all my God father and my beloved mentor Mr Feroz khan who is no longer in this world here to defend himself. He was my mentor, my friend my guide and I am eternally grateful for the love, respect and career he gave me. I am an Indian army war hero’s daughter and I was going to fight it till my last breath even if it meant going to Pakistan to teach this person a lesson. Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has accused two of her colleagues of criminal activities, including hacking her social media accounts, buying fake bulk tickets, and manipulating box office collections.

In a series of Instagram stories on Sunday, Ranaut said that she was informed by a fan about a scam in which people were using her name to hack into accounts. She shared a screenshot of the scam, which showed a message from someone claiming to be Ranaut's online manager.

Ranaut said that she had nothing to do with the scam and that the people behind it were part of the "film mafia." She also made some shocking claims about two of her colleagues, whom she did not name.

"Film mafia has always indulged in criminal activities," she said. "This superstar who I dated later claimed that I was dating his imposter. He used to use different numbers and accounts to chat with me, he also hacked my account and operated in a shady way."

Ranaut said that she also had a run-in with another superstar, whom she described as a "womaniser." She said that he landed at her house and begged her to date him, but she refused. She then accused him of hacking her devices and lying about his marriage and child.

Ranaut's allegations have not been verified, but they have caused a stir.

Actor Anshuman Jha is making his directorial debut with Lord Curzon Ki Haveli. The film has been chosen for its world premiere at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) as the Centrepiece Spotlight Film (Official Selection - out of competition). It stars Arjun Mathur, Rasika Dugal, Paresh Pahuja, Zoha Rahman and Tanmay Dhaninia.

The film’s tale is a revelation about the Asian diaspora in the UK and is touted to be the first mainstream Indian feature film to be shot on a single lens. The film was shot in the UK last year and it is touted as a unique new age cinema experience for worldwide audiences. Paolo Bertolin, Selection Committee, Venice International Film Festival, described the film saying, “Lord Curzon Ki Haveli is a cinematic work that muses over identity & gender in a very contemporary way, within the framework of an entertaining mystery.”

Sharing his reaction at the film’s selection at IIFM, Jha said in a statement, “I am thrilled to present Lord Curzon Ki Haveli at Indian Film Festival Of Melbourne 2023. The controversy surrounding Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has taken a new turn as actress Jennifer Mistry, who portrayed the character of Mrs Roshan Sodhi in the popular sitcom, has come forward with fresh allegations against producer Asit Kumarr Modi. In a series of serious accusations, Jennifer claims that Modi influenced a key witness in her sexual harassment case against him.

In May 2023, Jennifer accused Asit Kumarr Modi of sexual harassment, and recently, the Mumbai Police registered a case against the makers of the long-running show based on her complaint. Now, in an interview with ETimes, Jennifer has accused Modi of trying to manipulate Gurucharan Singh, who played the role of Jennifer's on-screen husband, into turning against her in court.

She said, “Gurucharan knows everything and in May 2023, he called me and had assured me that he would be a witness for me in the court. He had categorically told me he would not comment in the media, but he will come to the court to support me.”

Jennifer further stated, “On June 9, when I went to meet him, he told me he was called to office on June 8 all of a sudden and all his outstanding dues, which were pending since the last three and a half years, were cleared. I realised he would not speak in my favour. I did not tell him anything, but he told me that he can be the neutral person between Asit Modi and me who can get us to sit across and discuss.”

She also accused project head Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj of indecent behaviour and sexual harassment, adding more fuel to the already escalating controversy.

Earlier, Asit Kumarr Modi dismissed the allegations made by Jennifer, labelling them as baseless and threatened to take legal action against her for attempting to defame him.

Dev Entertainment Ventures and Pramod Films once again collaborates to bring in the magical tale of Mahabharata on big screen. Produced by Bengal's superstar Dev Adhikari and Prateek Chakravorty from Mumbai, the film promises to be Bengal's biggest visual extravaganza.

The production houses have roped in Bollywood filmmaker Ram Kamal Mukherjee to helm this magnum opus. While Rukmini Maitra will play the title role. The film is based on noted author Pratibha Ray's award winning Odiya novel Yajnaseni. "When director Ram Kamal approached me for the film rights of Yajnaseni through my publisher Rupa Publications, I was delighted that even today Indian filmmakers are interested in the story of Mahabharata. My book, Yajnaseni, is about Mahabharata from Draupadi's point of view with contemporary relevance. Yajnaseni is an epitome of Patience, Penance and Power. It's a creative collaboration, and Ram Kamal being an author himself, will definitely do justice to Yajnaseni and her story. I feel we are at the right time to revisit our epics and tell the new generation about our culture and heritage, winner Pratibha Ray says.

Producer Dev Adhikari from Dev Entertainment Ventures says, "After watching Ram Kamal's work in Binodiini Ekti Natir Upakhyan, I realized that he has an amazing sense of aesthetics and visual presentation skill. When he shared his dream of making Draupadi, I felt that he would certainly do justice to the scale and subject. The production houses released a motion poster designed by Ekta Bhattacharjee from Ekta Tales with background score composed by Sourendro and Soumyojit duo. The Sanskrit verses in Draupadi motion poster are written by Ram Kamal. Currently the director is wrapping up his postproduction work on Binodiini Ekti Natir Upakhyan, and simultaneously working on the research and screenplay of the film. "I am thankful to my producers Dev and Prateek for standing by my vision once again, this time on a much larger scale. I am grateful to Pratibhaji (Ray) for giving us the official filming rights of her best seller novel Yajnaseni. And finally, I am overwhelmed to reunite with my most favourite Rukmini as Draupadi. I know for a fact that we both will have to work hard on this film. I don't remember when was the last time Bengali cinema produced a mythological film? Hats off to Dev and Prateek for taking that leap of faith with me and Rukmini," says director Ram Kamal Mukherjee. The 14th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) is thrilled to announce that the highly anticipated film Kennedy starring Rahul Bhatt and Sunny Leone, directed by filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, has been selected as the prestigious closing night film. The festival, celebrating the best of Indian cinema, will conclude with the screening of this neo-noir thriller on August 20, 2023 in Melbourne.

Kennedy had its grand world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, and it also received a lot of critical acclaim and attention for its gripping storyline and for the performances of Sunny Leone and Rahul Bhatt. The closing night ceremony promises to be a star-studded affair, as it will be graced by the director himself, Anurag Kashyap, who is known for his bold and unique storytelling. Alongside him, the lead cast of Kennedy, Sunny Leone and Rahul Bhatt will also be present to share their experiences and insights into their roles in the film. But that's not all; A day ahead of the closing night, that is, on August 19, Anurag Kashyap and the cast will participate in an exclusive conversation session about the film with a live audience.

Talking about Kennedy, the film follows the enthralling tale of a long-thought-to-be-dead, insomniac ex-cop, who finds himself entangled in a corrupt system while seeking redemption. Actors Sunny Leone and Ameesha Patel are making headlines for non-payment of dues of Rs. 21 lakh and Rs. 1.2 crore respectively with producers. Both the actresses were summoned before the Arbitration Tribunal of the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) on July 25 in response to the complaints by the producers about their pending dues. However, the actresses failed to appear before them and now IMPPA plans to take strict action.

Reports stated that producers Haresh Patel of M/s AD Films and Vinod Bachchan of M/s Soundarya Productions had filed complaints against Sunny Leone and Ameesha Patel respectively. As per ETimes, IMPPA has “directed them to pay the entire claim payable to the aforementioned producers within 7 days of the meeting failing which there will be consequences.’

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ameesha Patel will be next seen in Gadar 2 alongside Sunny Deol wherein she reprises the role of Sakeena. The trailer was launched on Wednesday. It will release on August 11 in theatres.

On the other hand, Sunny Leone was last seen in Anurag Kashyap’s Kennedy which premiered at Cannes Film Festival 2023. The actress will next star in Rangeela and Veeramadevi in her kitty. The makers of Yami Gautam-Pratik Gandhi starrer Dhoom Dhaam were in a happy dilemma for a long time whether to release the film in theatres or on OTT and after a lot of discussions, the film has been sold to an OTT platform JioCinema for a direct-to-digital release.

As per the industry source, “The producers of the film (Aditya Dhar, Lokesh Dhar, Jyoti Deshpande) have been extremely confident about the film and have been aware that they have a winner at hand thanks to the multiple focus group/trial screenings that have been held by them. The unanimous feedback from all these screenings, which had people from different walks of life has been phenomenal. It is after a very long time that, such a good, fun film, family-entertainer, new age caper comedy will be released for the audiences. It will definitely be a breath of fresh air in a time when there is so much dark, gritty content available online.

As per the source, the film has been sold at the highest price compared to the previous Yami Gautam starrers that have been released on OTT. The actress had a phenomenal two years with the back to back releases including A Thursday, Dasvi, Lost, Chor Nikalke Bhaga. Even Pratik Gandhi, who rose to fame and broke out with Hansal Mehta’s Scam 1992 has been really appreciated for his acting performances.

Dhoom Dhaam is Yami Gautam’s first collaboration with her husband Aditya Dhar as a producer. This will also mark Yami Gautam’s return to the comedy space after Bala.

Bollywood Hungama has been at the forefront to report about the developments with regards to the censor process of OMG Oh My God 2. On July 13, we were one of the first ones to report that the Examining Committee (EC) of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) referred the Akshay Kumar-starrer to the Revising Committee (RC) due to its content. We also reported how the team of the film is trying its best to get the film and trailer cleared this week or by Monday, July 31 latest so that it can make it in cinemas on August 11.

Bollywood Hungama has now heard that the Revising Committee has suggested several modifications in the films, which the makers are not comfortable with. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “In all, the RC has asked for 20 cuts. These include both visual and audio deletions. On top of it, they have also suggested the makers opt for an adults-only certification.”

The source continued, “However, the makers are not comfortable with these cuts as they believe that it’ll affect the essence of the film. They are also not okay with an ‘A’ certificate. After all, they feel that the topic of sex education should be seen by people of all ages. Also, the first part, OMG Oh My God (2012), is very popular with kids. To have an adult certificate for a film in a kid-friendly franchise just doesn’t feel right, in their opinion.”

The source signed off by stating, “There’s a deadlock between the two parties as of now. It remains to be seen if they are able to reach a consensus and whether that happens sooner so that OMG Oh My God 2 can release comfortably on August 11, as scheduled.”

Besides Akshay Kumar, OMG Oh My God 2 also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam.

There has been a lot of talk lately on a sequel to A S Rajamouli’s international blockbuster RRR, which has broken nearly every box office record of Indian cinema. So the talk of a sequel seemed more like wishful thinking than reality. However when I asked the RRR writer Vijayendra Prasad to throw light on the ostensible sequel to RRR, he replied, “Sir, it’s both a yes and a no...After the release of RRR I shared an idea of the sequel where the story continues with Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (NTR Jr) set in Africa.”

Vijayendra Prasad, who is a regular writer on his son Rajamouli’s projects, says the idea of the sequel appealed to Rajamouli. “My son liked it and asked me to develop it into a full script.”

Vijayendraji says the sequel is likely to happen after Rajamouli completes his film with Mahesh Babu. “Right now he is fully into the movie with Mahesh Babu...and knowing my son’s temperament he will not pay any attention to the sequel-idea till the movie with Mahesh is finished...After that if he likes my script and if both the heroes like the script and if they have the time ....Insha Allah!”

I hope this ends all speculation on the RRR sequel that we all wish would happen.

Jio Studios’ The Storyteller continues to earn international recognition during its festival run, by receiving the German Star of India 2023 for director Ananth Mahadevan in the category Audience Award at the Indian Film Festival Stuttgart in Germany. The film received a warm reception, with a packed audience and appreciation during its recent screening at the festival where it was also the Closing Film.

The Storyteller is based on one of Satyajit Ray’s short stories. The film stars Paresh Rawal, Adil Hussain, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Naseeruddin Shah.

Ananth Mahadevan, the director of the movie, reacted at the achievement saying, “The unanimous acknowledgement of The Storyteller from Busan to Houston, London, IFFI, now Stuttgart and on to Melbourne next month is absolutely overwhelming. What has indeed been rewarding is the acceptance of understated performances and subtle storytelling that conforms to global cinema. When I set out to pay tribute to the Master (Satyajit Ray), I had set a very nervous foot forward. But the thought process and the effort to emulate Ray seem to have paid handsome dividends.”

Adil Hussain added, “I am extremely happy, specially because it’s an audience award. Critics awards I can understand that it is a very well-written, well-directed, acted and everyone has done a fantastic job and it’s a brilliantly cinema written by one of the legendary filmmakers of India – Satyajit Ray. When audience also gives us a thumbs up then it makes sense that it has done so well that in spite of the complexities of the story the audience is loving it, which is a great sign. I am very glad that we won the award.”

The Storyteller tells the story of a wealthy businessman who hires a storyteller to help get over his insomnia; turning more intriguing as twists are added to it. The original Bengali short story Golpo Boliye Tarini Khuro is one among the series of stories written by Ray, based on the enigmatic character Tarini Khuro that he created.

However, the dates of shooting for Singham Again are clashing with the shooting dates of Chhava. He has a certain look from the period era in Chavva and that can't be replicated in a modern film like Singham Again. After making all attempts to set things up for Singham Again, he couldn't and informed his decision to Rohit Shetty. Being a thorough professional, Rohit too understood his plight," revealed a source close to the development to Bollywood Hungama.

Actress Aahana Kumra recently took to Twitter to vent her frustration over the deplorable condition of Mumbai's roads and questioned the utilisation of taxpayers' money by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Her fiery tweets not only garnered widespread attention but also triggered a heated debate among netizens about the city's crumbling infrastructure.

In a series of scathing tweets, the Lipstick Under My Burkha actress directed her ire towards the BMC and expressed her concerns about the ongoing plight of Mumbai's roads. The actress minced no words as she wrote, "Bombay roads don't deserve our taxes! That's our hard-earned money going into putting up posters of corrupt politicians! We pay for their expensive cars, expensive houses, Z plus security! Where is my tax money going!?" In a clear message to the authorities, she tagged @mybmc and Bharati Lavekar, the MLA of Mumbai, Maharashtra.

The Khuda Haafiz actress's frustration with the situation was palpable as she urged the authorities to take immediate action and improve the city's infrastructure. "Enough is really enough! The Weekend Ka Vaar yet again brought in a lot of drama in the ongoing web reality show Bigg Boss OTT 2. Later, host Salman Khan asked the housemates’ opinion regarding the least interested or disinterested person on the show among the three nominated contestants. Fashion designer Manish Malhotra is turning to direction. Ready to launch his production house Stage 5 with three movies, one of the projects will be a biopic on veteran legend, late Meena Kumari. The ace designer recently confirmed that he is indeed working on the biopic and that the scripting is currently underway.

In an interview with Film Companion, Manish Malhotra said, “I don’t know how it got out but it is happening. We are still working on the script. The script is key, always. I have been reading her books. The film is based on her books. I have always been fascinated by Meena Kumari.”

He revealed that Rekha inspired him to go ahead with the Meena Kumari project. He added, “Rekha told me once that you know when you turn 40, you will understand the genius of Meena Kumari. And that is true. But I was young and I was busy working but when I turned 40 I not only understood the genius of Meena Kumari but even Nargis ji and Dilip Kumar and Guru Dutt. I started watching that cinema and understanding it so much better. I think Meena Kumari is phenomenal with her expressions, the way she uses her eyes and her adah.”

Meena Kumari passed away at the age of 38 from liver cirrhosis. She had worked in 98 films and is considered one of the legendary stars of Indian cinema. While the project is underway, Meena Kumar’s husband Kamal Amrohi’s son Tajdar Amrohi has raised concerns over the biopic. Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, he recently said, “My lawyer asked me has the film even started. I told him no, I have just heard about it. Even big production houses like to be in news. So, he told me that in case they decide to shelve the project in future, it would come across as I am publicity hungry. I am making enemies in vain. I don’t want to do that. People would think I am publicity hungry, but I am not that way.”

He added, “Is this the only couple in Bollywood left to make a film on? With all due respect to Nargis ji, Vyjanthimala ji, Reena Rai, Madhubala, Parveen Babi, Geeta Bali, there are many names. Why aren’t they making films on them? Why are they only behind my parents?”

Reportedly, Kriti Sanon has been signed for Meena Kumari biopic. Speaking of her, he said, “All I know is that she is a very good and beautiful actress. Whenever I meet her, I will tell her I am sorry if whatever I said hurt her. All that I said was for the person who is going to do the film, be it you or someone else. I’ll tell her you are a very popular and good actress and you might think of me as an enemy, but I am not one. Karan Johar is all set to return as a director after almost seven years with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. His last directorial venture Ae Dil Hai Mushkil had released in 2016. His latest film stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in lead roles and the two have been religiously promoting the film in different parts of India these days in various events. As the film readies itself for release, more details about the movie have emerged.

Veteran trade analyst Taran Adarsh has revealed on Twitter that the runtime for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is 168 minutes and 33 seconds, which comes down to 2 hours, 48 minutes and 33 seconds. He also mentioned that the movie has been granted U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

Bollywood Hungama was the first one to recently disclose the censor details of the movie. The CBFC asked the makers to remove the abuse ‘b******d,’ which is used several times in the film, with ‘behen di’. The rum brand ‘Old Monk’ is changed to ‘Bold Monk.’ The makers were also asked to remove an entire dialogue about the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, among few other cuts.

Apart from Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. The film is all set to release in theatres on July 28.

Bollywood Hungama has been at the forefront to report about the reopening of cinemas in Kashmir. The first multiplex in the beautiful state was opened on September 20, 2022. Two days earlier, on September 18, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated Multipurpose Cinema Halls, located in Pulwama and Shopian districts. RRR (2022) was the first film shown in Kashmir in these theatres and also the first film to be screened in Kashmir in three decades. Last week, we also reported on how Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan (2023) will be the first film to be screened at the newly opened theatres in Kashmir’s Baramulla and Handwara.

And now, Kashmir theatres are back in the news, thanks to Oppenheimer. The Christopher Nolan directorial is done beyond expectations across the country, and Inox Srinagar is no exception. It emerged as the biggest Hollywood opener and could possibly emerge as the highest Hollywood grosser in the state, beating other recent Hollywood biggies like Fast X (2023), John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023), Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse (2023), Avatar: The Way Of Water (2022) etc.

Social media has been of the opinion that Oppenheimer is the first Hollywood film to get sold out in Inox Srinagar. However, Vikas Dhar, clarified, “Oppenheimer is the first Hollywood film to get such a massive response in our theatre. Avatar: The Way Of Water got sold out and so did a couple of other films. But to have such a sustained response and house full shows for three days is a first. For Avatar: The Way Of Water, we got a few enquiries before it was out. However, for Oppenheimer, we began to be flooded with enquiries four weeks before its release. The moviegoers asked us to release the film in our theatre on the same day as the rest of India.”

Looking at the response to Oppenheimer, exhibition sources feel that it won’t be a surprise if it manages to cross the collections of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan in Inox Srinagar or come close to it.

Vikas Dhar reacted to these claims, “I don’t think so. I’ll be really surprised if it happens. Shah Rukh Khan’s fan following here is unparalleled. We are already getting enquiries for his next film, Jawan. Some of the comments we have got recently are, ‘I will come and see Oppenheimer but I am actually waiting for Jawan’!”

In Inox Srinagar, Oppenheimer is playing four shows a day in the English version and one show is of the dubbed Hindi version. Vikas Dhar continued, “Christopher Nolan and Cillian Murphy have such a hardcore fan following here. It is a lesson for us that even in Kashmir, people are following these artists. Our audiences have acquired an international taste. It’s quite fascinating.”

Meanwhile, Oppenheimer has collected nearly Rs. 30 crores in two days in India and has a shot at crossing the Rs. 100 crores mark.

Bollywood actors Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt have been busy promoting their upcoming movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Billed as a new era of love, the film is helmed by Karan Johar. Three songs from the movie are already out with the fourth song to release on Monday.

Titled 'Dhindhora Baje Re', the song has been shot on a mega scale around the theme of Durga Puja. As Alia's character is Bengali, she dances along with Ranveer in this grand scale dance number. A glimpse of it was seen in the trailer of the movie. The two of them will head to Kolkata on Monday for the song release.

A day ago, the actors were promoting the movie in Mumbai. They visited a college, followed by a magical evening where singers Jonita Gandhi and Sonu Nigam performed. The music album is composed by Pritam.

Karan Johar is all set to release his directorial venture, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, in cinemas next week and all eyes are already on this multi-starrer. The advance booking is expected to open soon and meanwhile, the censor process has been successfully completed.

However, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) passed the romantic drama after enforcing certain cuts. To begin with, the abusive word ‘b******d’, used multiple times in the film, was replaced by ‘behan di’. The popular rum brand Old Monk was mentioned in the film and it was changed to ‘Bold Monk’. ‘Lok Sabha’ was also mentioned in a dialogue and the CBFC asked the makers to remove it and not even replace it with any other term.

That’s not all. A certain word was replaced with ‘Koi filter’ in the Rabindranath Tagore scene. In the absence of exact detail, its not clear whether or not the mention of the legendary figure has been retained. Then, an entire dialogue about West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamta Banerjee, was asked to be deleted. Lastly, a certain dialogue in the lingerie shop scene, which was termed as ‘degrading women’ and ‘vulgar’, was removed. In the same scene, ‘bra’ was replaced with ‘item’.

After these changes were made, the CBFC handed over the certificate to the makers on Wednesday, July 19. The length of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, as mentioned on the censor certificate, is 168 minutes. In other words, the film is 2 hours and 48 minutes long.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra. It releases on July 28.

Sharing more about the film, Pandit added, “The announcement of the cast itself had created a huge buzz and now the trailer has added to the excitement. By now, the audience has an idea of the story too which revolves around three clueless young boys trying to make money by turning a simple-middle-class home into a secret gambling den. It is a situational comedy, and the trailer too radiates the fun and chaotic energy of the plot.”

Tron Ekka is Pandit’s fourth film with Vaishal Shah’s Jannock Films after Fakt Mahilao Maate, Chehre (Hindi film which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi) and Days Of Tafree. “Both of us share a common love for family entertainers and we had a great time making this film together.”  Vaishal said, “We want to bring back wholesome cinema that the entire family can watch together and as the trailer shows, this film is packed with pure entertainment.”

The upcoming biopic on Jaswant Singh Khalra, which will star Diljit Dosanjh in the lead role while Arjun Rampal appears in a crucial role, has been in the headlines quite for a time now ever since the production company RSVP Movies, filed an appeal in the Bombay High Court seeking orders against the CBFC for the cuts that were asked to be done for releasing the film. In the latest update, the hearing that happened yesterday in the court, RSVP presented the remaining cuts and the court has asked to come today to complete the argument at 02:30 PM again.

As the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) cleared the film with an A certificate and asked makers for 21 cuts which includes the removal of certain dialogues, the movie's disclaimer, and its title and RSVP Movies by Ronnie Screwvala filed an appeal to the Bombay High Court under Section 5C of the Cinematograph Act, arguing that the cuts violated Article 19(1)(a) of the Indian Constitution and that the cuts were not covered under the Cinematograph Act.

In the latest update, the hearing happened yesterday where the RSVP team argued on the remaining other cuts and were presented to the honourable judge. Starting from the 5th cut the team took the honourable judge to the 21st cut and commenced the arguments by explaining how every cut is based on proper documentation, making sure it's a well-researched film. RSVP Movies truly stand straight while opposing the cuts to keep the premise of the film intact while CBFC was appealing that the cuts are important.

Further to this, as the additional solicitor general Anil C. Singh who was appearing on behalf of CBFC has retired from his office and therefore CBFC’s lawyer was seeking time, however, the court refused the same. Therefore, the court called the further hearing today at 02:30 PM.

The Jaswant Singh Khalra biopic is directed by Honey Trehan and while Diljit plays the titular role, Arjun Rampal also has a pivotal part in it.

Just yesterday, there were reports that the Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar starrer The Lady Killer had hit a setback due to budget issues. However, denying the same Shailesh Singh, one of the producer of the much-awaited crime thriller revealed that it was the weather that had played truant causing a delay in the shoot of the film. No, it is learnt that post the monsoon showers that have hot various parts of the country; the project is set to finish its last schedule post the non-stop showers across North India.

“The last schedule of the film should wrap once the lashing of monsoon subsides in the North. It will have to be an outdoor schedule for the film because the location plays the perfect setting for this broody, crime thriller and the film has already been shot extensively in the North. So, as soon as the production house plans the last schedule, actors will wrap the film,” informs a trade source.

Talking exclusively to Bollywood Hungama Shailesh Singh revealed he real issue saying, “W were shooting and have completed almost the entire project and it is in post-production. About 3 to 4 days of patchwork shoot remains. But, since this shoot is an outdoor schedule in Uttarakhand we had to push it due to the weather and rains." Ask him about the shoot resuming and he continues, "We were to shoot in the first week of July, but with the rains and floods things changed. Now, since it is an outdoor shoot we have to wait until things return to somewhat it was like. We will resume shooting once there is a dry spell." As of now 80% of The Lady Killer has already been shot, with just a few days more shoot pending the film is expected to wrap as expected.

Talking about the project, The Lady Killer marks the first collaboration of Arjun with Ajay Bahl. The film was announced with a lot of fanfare and was keenly awaited by lovers of the thriller genre. Interestingly, the film will see Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar coming together for the first time on the big screen as well. Directed by Ajay Bahl, The Lady Killer is expected to be a murder mystery and it is slated to release next year.

Celebrity couple Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Sheth welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on Wednesday, July 19. The couple took to their respective social media handles and shared a joint post to make the official announcement. The couple can be seen posing for a photo with their new born while covering his face with a heart emoji. The caption read, “Us / We have been blessed with a baby boy. Thank you all for the love and wishes.”

According to a report in ETimes, both Ishita and the baby are in good health, bringing relief to their fans. The actress gave birth at a hospital in Mumbai and is currently recovering. She is expected to be discharged from the hospital on Friday, July 21, as she begins a new chapter in her life.

Before the baby's birth, Ishita and Vatsal delighted their followers with pictures from a beautiful pregnancy photo shoot, sharing their excitement and happiness with the world.

The celebrations started well in advance, as Ishita and Vatsal moved into their new home a few months ago. The actress actively participated in the inauguration rituals, adding warmth and positivity to their new abode. Just days before moving into their new house, Ishita was showered with love and blessings during a traditional god bharai (baby shower) ceremony, attended by close friends and family. Notably, the event was graced by Bollywood actress Kajol and Ishita's sister, Tanushree Dutta.

Ishita Dutta, renowned for her performance as Anju Salgaonkar in the 2022 blockbuster Drishyam 2, continued to work during her pregnancy. She completed her projects before entering the third trimester.

Meanwhile, Vatsal Sheth recently wrapped up shooting for his Gujarati debut film, a comedy-drama co-starring Helly Shah. The title of the film is yet to be revealed, but the excitement among the fans is already palpable.

Gadar (2001) is one of the biggest hits of Indian cinema and hence, a lot is expected from Gadar 2. The excitement over the re-release of Gadar on June 9 made it clear that even after 22 years, the film is close to the hearts of the people and that the sequel can open with a bang. Until now, the makers released the teaser of Gadar 2, which was incidentally attached to the prints of Gadar. This was followed by the rearranged version of the song ‘Udd Ja Kaale Kaava’ followed by the soulful number ‘Khairiyat’. Meanwhile, fans have been eagerly asking for the trailer for a long time.

Bollywood Hungama has got an update about when the much-awaited Gadar 2 trailer will be out. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Exactly a week later, that is, on Thursday, July 27, the trailer will be launched. The makers feel that releasing it 15 days before the film’s release will work well and further enhance the hype of the highly awaited sequel.”

When asked if there’s going to be a trailer launch, the source replied, “The makers are toying with the idea but nothing is concrete yet. A clear idea will emerge in a few days. Nevertheless, the makers have come up with an interesting promotional plan. The actors and director Anil Sharma are expected to ensure that Gadar 2 creates enough noise so that awareness is spread far and wide about its release on August 11.”

Just like Gadar, Gadar 2 also stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma. Directed by Anil Sharma, it is produced by Zee Studios and Anil Sharma Productions.

Meanwhile, the team of the film are also expected to release a few more songs before Gadar 2 hits the theatres. Anil Sharma said in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama that besides ‘Udd Ja Kaale Kaava’, the dance number ‘Main Nikla Gaddi Leke’ will also have a reimagined version in the sequel. At a press conference involving Anil, music director Mithoon and singer Udit Narayan, it was announced that the makers will soon organize a musical concert where Udit Narayan, Arijit Singh and other singers will sing the songs of Gadar 2 live.

Thakur expressed his delight and shared his vision for the award, stating, "Delighted to announce the BEST WEB SERIES AWARD @IFFIGoa to be presented to an exceptional web series for its artistic merit, storytelling excellence, technical prowess, and overall impact. The award will be bestowed upon an original web series available on an OTT platform that has been shot and produced in an Indian language. Its purpose is to incentivize and create investment opportunities within India's rapidly growing OTT sector, promote content in regional languages, recognize exceptional talent, and foster the growth and innovation of the industry. The "Best Web Series" award will be presented annually, commencing from this year's 54th International Film Festival of India.

This initiative allows filmmakers to showcase their works and contribute to the diverse cinematic landscape of the festival.

IFFI 2023, one of the most prestigious film festivals in India, is scheduled to take place from November 20 to November 28.
